    Thank you for your messages.
Have spent most of the last two days sorting the house which is now done. My mum really wanted it sorted as quickly as possible. Funeral will be next week and that!!!8217;s when I think it will hit be as there is so much to do before then.

Trying to keep things as normal as can be for my children especially as ds has taken it harder than dd. He is very self aware of his feeling and emotions whereas dd just seems to accept things.

£56 spent on piano lessons (not bad for the two of them). Ds is really enjoying it so far.

Supermarket spends now at £114.75 and also spent £75 at a well known diy store as we are going to decorate our lounge. I may well regret not spending the £300 on the decorator to do it! However, ds has offered to help!!

Am hearing of lots of sad events currently so do hold those loved ones tighter, let go of those petty disagreements and live mindfully in the moment.

    Current July food spends £157.73

Decided not to go to an event last night, didn!!!8217;t feel up to it so sold tickets and as it turns out it wasn!!!8217;t actually that good. I also think we would have haemorrhaged money there on entertaining the children.

Have returned some decorating items so £16 back on credit card and may be able to return more when work is done.

Made various payments off cc today that accrued due to stoozing attempts. Will make the money shuffle otherwise known as payday even quicker.

Off out with dd in a bit to a local theatre to watch a production. Am meeting friends so should have a lovely afternoon.

Also booked taxi for airport for September holiday. Still need to input passport details online so will tackle that later.

Cloudy today so am attempting to line dry two loads of washing. Not holding out much hope as there are some threatening clouds. Dh is finishing off the decorating so I am hoping a cheeky afternoon nap as I am emotionally drained and a relaxing evening awaits me.

Had another early night last night. So so tired at the moment.

Dh and I finished the decorating between us this morning and he is just taking the children to a party. I!!!8217;ve been out for a walk and done almost 10k steps already (it is 1pm) so I am going to do a weights workout once this coffee has kicked in.

Sold a tin of paint for £8 so that with £2 I had off dh has gone in the birthday card for said party.

150 points on y0ugov in recent days and another survey waiting. Fingers crossed it is a high paying one. Payday for both of us this week and in theory we should be able to
Overpay £300 and save another £300 but realised one of 0% cards ends in October and I really do not want to have to transfer it again. If we decide to use money to pay that I will put it in savings and continue to pay the minimum. It is so tempting to throw everything at the mortgage but then remember I have to consider what makes our life easier right now, not 10 years down the line.

Payday and money shuffle complete. Have made a mortgage OP of £311.43 (which is made up of normal £300 payment, £11 from reduced energy direct debit and a 43p tilly tidy). It knocked a month off so that mortgage now has an end date of December 2028 with basic payments (I will be 46 and dh 52).
Have paid £50 off cc and sent another £250 to savings to build up in there so can accrue some interest.

25p on y0ugov yesterday. Had a wonderful evening out, zero spends as ticket already paid for and we took our own food. Just one more event next weekend then the bulk of socialising is out of the way! Taking the children for a picnic and a paddle in the river today. I also need to ring my mobile provider to see if I can gift dh some of my data as I get loads and he keeps incurring extra charges as only gets a ting amount. Am sure I get 10g so have plenty to spare.

Although it's payweek we plan to run the freezers down, we don't do 'big shops' anymore anyway. I am also aware a protein powder I want to buy is now in Mr M supermarket but I'm going to wait until Hally offer me a 10% cashback deal with them before I rush off to buy some.

Right, hopefully that 2nd coffee has kicked in as I have more decorating to do!

Have been a busy bee this morning. Second coat of paint and edging done in bedroom. Have moved a unit into there from the landing which means I!!!8217;ve been able to sort some items and display them tidily.

Basket and clothes put away and everywhere is fairly clean and tidy. Waiting for dh to finish work then will pop out to choose new blinds and then I will visit my mum. I am hoping dh is going to do piano lessons.

98p Tilly tidy this morning too.

A good OP Cath and doing your own decorating will save a packet. I need to get some done but I'm lazily wondering if I can get away with a touch up :o
Original mortgage £112,000 . Final payment due August 2027.
Mortgage neutral achieved August 2020 - 7 years early!!!
