Don't, I am quite scared about the interest rate going up again. We are on a fixed so not as much of a shock as anyone on the base rate but even so, it's always like one step forward and two back..0

i try not to think about it and pray they'll stay this way forever! i'm tied into a tracker which was VERY silly of me!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Not sure I understans trackers. We always fix for a couple of years at a time because we like to know we can afford the rate regardless. If it lowers (which is has this time) then the excess is automatically removed to savings or mortgage as we have previously budgeted for it so we carry on.0

Good luck with the targets. I had problems finding big storage crates too. We wanted lids so they are stackable but most places only did smaller ones. Got ours in Makro.2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0

thanks, a store i used to work them sold a huge selection a few years ago. Do people recycle/donate/throw things away now instead of storing it at home??? Am reluctant to get rid of anymore of DD's stuff as i would like another baby! The playroom is embarrassing, i really should just stop shutting the door and ignoring it! Managed to find some nice pink and purple ones so have reserved them and will collect in a bit. Not the size i wanted but does mean I could put some upstairs - maybe she will sleep better if surrounded by boxes full of toys!
DD sleeping terribly at the moment - bed at 7pm ish, back downstairs at 9pm for more milk - it's becoming a dreadful habit but she just screams if we stay upstairs.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
I think Christmas disrupts the little ones so much anyway. It's always a bit of a nightmare. Sam was really hyper the week befroe Christmas but has actually been ok since.
My house is lined with plastic storage boxes. I only have one wardrobe for my clothes so I store some clothes in boxes, along with various other bits.0 -
Saw some massive storage crates in wilkos the other day, might be worth checking there.
Good luck with the OP's, is good to have a definite schedule. Mine is feeling a bit pie in the sky at the minute!
Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89
OPs 2011-2016 = £45K 2017 OPs = £9250.200 -
thanks both. I have managed to get some - i think. It has turned into some kind of mission. The first lot i bought were damaged and i couldn't take them to the alternative chain store to refund so that means another trip and paying to park....grrrr. I looked in Wilkos, they used to do loads but very limited now but thank you -i might pop back. Bought some from another store and noticed they didn't have lids as i thought! Finally managed to get 2 pink underbed storage crates which could work out better and reserved some Hellp Kitty ones to collect tomoro which will tie in with returning original ones! Who would have thought it would have been so complicated. DD currently napping so could start to sort out but a bit full after having 2 mince pies with my coffee!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Just noticed your OP target on 2011 thread, makes my target look stingy!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Have got a £2.52 payment to come from TCB, mostly from the flightchecker click they so meanly took away!! Will transfer that to savings!
Have used Amazon vouchers from BP to order new Norton subscription (I know there are free ones out there but DH likes this one) so was going to transfer amount to mortgage but have booked car in for a service tomorrow so will need it for that. Just hoping it needs a service and no repairs. We have looked after it well so hoping now although it is slightly overdue its 40k mile service.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
