    Its friday :j

Am really looking forward to a long weekend. Will hopefully get out to a couple of local NT properties as they have events running.

Monthly spends looking good but expect food costs to increase next month as am doing a new eating plan. Dh and I were going to do it together but the food prep was becoming overwhelming!

All 0% credit cards paid for the month. Y0ugov remains quiet apart from prize draw entries. Architect plans should arrive in the next week or so and really looking forward to progressing to that stage.

    Think that's it!

    May spends

    Food. £129.12
    Petrol £140.01
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!

Morning all, already been up a while due to small children!

Have quite a few jobs planned for over the weekend so will list here to remind and motivate me!

Pay rest of holiday deposit £550!!!
    Update children's savings books
    Buy containers for meal prep
    Read and submit meter readings
    Sow more salad seedsseeds

Am sure there's more but the rest of the list escapes me!

Big food shop done as I start day 1 of a 90 day wasting plan. I was worried I'd spend an absolute fortune and did need to stock up some herbs and spices but noverall its definitely manageable.

    May spends

    Food. £220.85
    Petrol £170.01
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!

Wow that's really low food spends again this month cath, do you have big stores of food or are you cooking everything from scratch and keeping it quite simple with pulses etc.? Hope, you don't mind be being nosey, I tried a lower food spend month, but am on a hiding to nothing with the twins and home revising at the moment :rotfl:

Hi newgirly, I think our food spends must be done to batch cooking and making cakes/muffins etc ourselves. I have breakfast and the children just have fruit before breakfast club, I take salad, fruit and yoghurt for lunch and the children have a packed lunch. Dinner tends to be homemade lasagne, veg curry, sometimes a co-op £5 deal. Our spends are literally for food though, I deduct non-grocery spends off total.

I'm doing the b0dyc0@ch newgirly, day 2 today and about to do 30 minutes of HIIT. Our food spends will definitely go up with me doing this but then i think I'm not eating yoghurts, cake, fruit I normally have so am sure will balance out.

I've bought the online plan so recipes are tailored to my needs to maximise results. Am hoping to change my eating habits and curb sugar addiction!
