Its the raising of hopes and me going around in circles too! We will move forward with architects now.
NSD which was very much needed. Maybe dh has had his lbm as I mentioned doing a food shop tomorrow and he is convinced we can last a few more days. Not one to disagree I will happily eat interesting meals although I did get home to homemade lasagne which should last a few days.
Checked s&s ISA and dd junior ISA, one fund isn't doing particularly well which made me regret investing but on closer inspection this fund peaks and drops so I will remain patient and have confidence it will make some money.
Trying to resist the urge to eat, have had dinner, fruit and some of the juice I made. Think I have been good for too long as I just want a big pudding! Juice was spinach, red grapes and pineapple with some pumpkin and sunflower seeds. Think this needs to be a regular one for dh.
Reading dome with and did some letter sounds with Ds. I just wish the evenings weren't so short.
Further complaint made to B*T, never regretted switching to a company so much!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

Urgh, busy week and a car that still isn't fixed. It is more the juggling act of getting it to to the garage when we both work full time and have 2 small children. DH is working on getting it sorted.
Checked accounts this morning and noticed there was some spare cash in a bills account, so £9.20 sent to 2 cc's! DH has done a small top up shop and got petrol so will update figures when I have the receipts. I've noticed I haven't even updated my sig this month, this is usually done on the 1st of the month so shows I have been getting side tracked.
Hoping to keep spends low for the next few days, 6 days until payday!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Yay it's friday! We are also going to attempt to get the car fixed again. Fortunately the garage didn't charge us for any labour costs despite the car going in twice. Food spends updated and on track for the month, supplies however are running low so will do an onlone shop this week using the voucher Mr S have emailed me.
Small amount of snow here and I am running 10 miles after work, hope it rains/ melts!
We had viewings last week so at this point on the week the house was immaculate,it now looks like it normally does on a Friday! It won't take long to sort out but it was great having no housework last weekend as it was all done!
In am effort to be more healthy I have been drinking a lot more water, I can definitely see the difference.. My skin gets really dry but has improved with magical water with bits of cucumber and lemon in it!
Busy weekend planned of enjoyable things but means we won't be at home much when I am a bit of a home bird. Will try not to think about how quickly that means the time will go.
Happy Friday everyone!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
They say that lots of water is better for your skin than any kind of expensive lotions and potions0

I will be sticking to the cheaper option
Managers almost 6 miles after work, there was a combination of rain and hail just beforehand so impressed I bothered at all and that almost 6 miles were run. This morning was stressful before work due to squabbling children and an injured child! I am not drinking the calories I burned on the run!
Hoping for a quiet day tomorrow and actually don't plan to go anywhere! 49p tilly tidy to cc and paid for the day to have our colours done.
Savings have taken quite a hit this morning!
Hmmm, noticed that a house near us (people who viewed ours put an offer in on it) is back on the market. Almost glad we are staying!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Hello,
I love your goals although I wonder how you will cure the eczema! Sounds like you might be asking an awful lot of yourself there! But good luck with it all the same.
Very envious of you having your colours done. I used to be very clear about what colours suited me but as I have got older I think the Reds I used to wear are wrong now. I would like to go but need to persuade someone to come with me. Do let us know how you get on.
All the best,

Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Thanks squirrel, I have bought an expensive natural product and it almost cleared it when I went back to an emollient and it worsened again. I am now armed with a large tub of natural cream that doesn't sting!
Am looking forward to the colours, will definitely feedback!
Woken up to a very harsh frost so it might be a day at home. I predict a film and hot chocolate at some pointsimple pleasures!

Hi cath - happy weekendhave booked a colour analysis for DM and me. It is expensive but I have wanted to do it for so long and it should helpme declutter as can get rid of all the wrong colour clothes :rotfl:
This sounds fab and is something I have always wanted to do/get done. May I ask where you are having it done (is this at a retail outlet or a specialised company) and an idea of cost?
