    It's payday :jj

A grand 77p Tilly tidy sent and money shuffled around to where it needs to go. This morning i have also managed to clear one of our 0% cards with a small balance. We are down to 3 0% cards, not so long ago we had 7 and we have reduced them down by working really hard to pay them off. We haven't consolidated any so I am really happy we have been able to do this. Architect fund topped up, should be at almost £1000 :)

Unfortunately need to pay about £300 off stoozing cc, I wlouild much prefer to be paying this off the mortgage so next step is getting rid of that card! It's mostly interest free as used it to stooze, then stopped using it but wondering whether to use it this month and very closely track food/petrol spends.

I don't anticipate an expensive month shopping wise as I am HM training and encouraging dh to be healthy, that is harder than any run!

Car back in the garage today, the saga appears to be never ending but dh hopeful they will finally find out what is wrong and fit us in tomorrow for the repair! I am not so positive but he is the yin to my yang.

Thinking about a family trip to the cinema tomorrow, we could all watch a film for the total of £10. Seems worth spending on an enjoyable few hours and newish experience for the children.

Happy Friday everyone, to all those on dry January - stay strong

    Happy weekend all :jj

Cinema trip didn't happen as children didn't want to go. Instead dh and the children went for a quick run, they loved it and it means dh has finally started some form of training! I treated myself and dd to some running clothes, I have needed new trousers with a zip for ages. £26 spent so paid on cc and sent £30 as a payment.

Used b*t reward card to fill dh car with petrol and was actually surprised it worked. Sent equivalent from petrol account to cc. I am trying to be really disciplined this month. I will use the remainder to fill up my car when it is finally fixed. This might mean overall totals are higher this month but it should balance out eventually.

Our architect plans arrived today. Our original plans won't work as the bedrooms will be too small so they have designed an alternative. I guess we can't please all the neighbours. Really pleased with the design though, our house will flow so much better.

Have been for a 10 mile run today, managed it in 1 hour 36 minutes which I am delighted with. Would love to do a 2 hour half marathon and now it feels almost possible. :jj

Dh is drinking prosecco and I have some Mr S fizzy fruity pop. If we can stay awake past 9pm we may have a relaxing evening!

    Petrol £179.03

Thanks Helen, I did have to mentally push myself through parts of it but was able to chat all the way round and glad I did it. Some miles you breeze through and others are tougher. When I left my friend we were just under 8 miles so I ran round and round until I hit 10, even ran past my house twice! Legs a bit achy this morning though!

H dfod, we are still on the market but after 5 months (I appreciate this isn't long) and 9 viewers in a position to proceed we feel it isn't going to sell. House is still on the market at the moment but has gone very quiet in recent weeks. We will proceed with planning etc and see what happens. At least then it isn't our decision 'shall we stay or move?' We will at least have tried. I have to say I am really am pleased with the plans and the space it will give us.

Managed to stay awake until 9:30pm! At the moment, weekend evenings feel no different to the exhaustion and rush of midweek!

Financial news on my diary? Updated whatsthecost figures and disappointed that as yet we didn't knock a month off this month. This is probably due to transfer fees so I will check account on Tues to see if there is any other money we can shuffle over. Architect fund is £961 which is a pleasing amount :)

Another busy day. Children had swimming lessons but I am debating cancelling them. Dd didn't want to go today and after her lesson said she knows everything now. She is in stage 4 and doing very well and D's has been in stage 1 for just over a year but has stopped progressing. Lessons cost about £17 a week and we also spend about £5 on petrol getting there each week. Only problem is I raised an issue I wanted addressing last week so it will seem odd if I now cancel! I think we are paid up until half term so will give it some thought this week. Dd is a confident swimmer and ds would be a lot safer than if he hadn't had any lessons. Have also just booked some piano lessons for dd so she will start again next week.

I have also upgraded my mobile phone today so bill will increase by about £3. Have tidied up all cc spending and paid off slightly more than has been spent. Plan now is to spend NO money until Friday. I have done a top up shop and banned dh from the supermarket!

Builder has been in touch and will hopefully be calling one day this week.

Now I need to enjoy the rest of Sunday instead of thinking about the long week ahead.

There's another Monday out of the way, it's definitely my least favourite day of the week. Not a true nsd as bought petrol which is budgeted for. Used the remaining balance of the pre paid card so sent equivalent money off cc as an extra payment. 50p Tilly tidy made and account checked. I have miscalulated somewhere so will need to transfer about £25 to cover tax expenses.

Although the plan is to buy no food until Friday at least, I have totalled spends for the month. A few months ago I increased budget for food and fuel to £500 but mostly come in at £400. If we only spend another £11.39 by the end of the month we will come in at £400 :j I could find a good use for that extra £100 a month!

Enjoying the mild weather from a money saving pont of view. BG increased our direct debit last month so it will be pleasing to see account in credit and request a decrease!

Tuesdays really aren't my day, I always spend them shattered and started to feel stressed towards the end of the day today. Tomorrow is a new day.

Rang around a few builders after work, one I was waiting to get back to me hasn't as yet so I have left a voicemail. Another builder is coming around at the weekend and I have left a message with another. I'm really keen to get things moving now.

Paid a couple pof bills today including another £100 off 0% cc which has knocked a month off. Not long ago we were knocking off 2 months every month so would be nice to be back at this level.

Nsd but we won't survive until Friday without needing to buy fruit. We should stick to £11 budget though.
