I would love to hear your secrets for £200 for the four of your. I'm struggling to get mine under £300 which is something I am working on.

I wish there was one! It was just a challenge but I'm not going to do it. Have spent almost £200 so far a due a food shop as the weekend approaches. It has definitely made me think twice about spending/topping up though so has been good to do. If I spend £250 for the month I think I will still be please. tbh, the extra £50 is probably wine over the course of the month! :D

Accounts checked as payday tomorrow which clears our overdraft. Have been in it far too much this year due to costs associated with my re-training. Need to buy DD some new school pinafores so will try and sell her old ones locally to offset the cost. I think Mr S might have reductions on clothing at the moment?

So tomorrow's payday will see the money shuffle, payment of 0% cards and recalculating our WIOTW figure. Nice to see that come down steadily this year as I feared we would end up owing more and more! :j

Weekly food shop done yesterday so blown the budget but will still continue to keep track. Gone are the days that £30 a week used to feed DH and me.

Payday and money shuffle done. Felt amazing clearing my overdraft! :j

Unfortunately there's not enough left to pay the 0% CC bills that have arrived so will manage this through DH weekly pay. He is doing lots of OT at the moment and it all helps. I have pestered him to ask for a payrise as he is doing lots of good work for the company which is above and beyond his job role and will potentially create good sales for them!

Last working day and then bank holiday weekend! After reading Lula's diary I am tempted to have a nose at some F&B colour cards for our hall, stairs and landing which is desperate for a re-paint!

If you buy F&B paint get the modern emulsion and not the estate emulsion which is like painting with milk!

    Thanks Al.

Spendy day predicted and am already overdrawn after being paid yesterday!

Don't think I can delay paying any of the CC's until DH payday so will just have to get out of it when I can. I really don't like being overdrawn.

So, on the cards today, feet measuring and only buying new ones if they have grown! :D DD needs new pj's and school uniform so we are off to a local outlet village first thing before it gets too busy.

Hopefully get some painting done at home to finish off a job and not much else planned for this bank holiday weekend.

Might have to do some plotting and find things to sell :D

Well that was a busy day!

Outlet village was surprisingly quiet although on entering Clark£s it appeared everyone was in there. Got both children's feet measured, DD feet haven't grown :j and DS gone up half a size but his shoes seem ok and he has trainers in the bigger size which he mostly wears.

Fortune saved in shoes was strategically spent by DD on Fro3en bedding with the sincere promise she will stay in her bed all night! She does love it and her room looks really nice.

Spent some time sorting out DS room and moved some things round. All his clothes have been put away (had a pile of the next size to sort through). Realised they both need some new bits and pieces, DD is very fussy so although she seems to have a lot she wears very little of it!

Upstairs looking much tidier which makes me happier :j

Not so good news was me realising DH CC payment possibly due (he gets the email to remind) so logged in and was due today!

Quickly sent payment and got him to phone up, initially they were very unhelpful and said we would lose 0% offer so I told DH to tell them we wold clear balance and cancel card. Cue them talking to someone else and they have honoured the 0% and we just have a £12 late payment fee although he could see his payment on the system. Today was the due date!

Could have been worse though so seeing it as a bonus! :o

Think my food budget needs to be at least £250 so have tried to reflect this in the new SOA I am working on.

Uncertain figures are salary and nursery costs so am hoping that erring on the side of caution will mean the difference can be saved/op/pay off 0% cards. New budget shows we can pay £500 a month off the cards which is great. To clarify, these funded home improvements which stopped us moving so money saving in the long term! :D

Item sold so £3 made and someone collecting another later. Have more listed on local selling sites. :j

It's raining here today which means another day of housework and possibly batch cooking. Might get the house looking lovely in time to spend the week in work!
