Didn't get around to baking as DD had a mammoth nap. Might do some after school today though, we have nothing in for pudding so we may HAVE to bake!! Trying to use up freezer and cupboard supplies for meals to avoid doing a big shop until payday. I don't want to be 'owing' accounts money on payday so am spending as little as possible! I have £11 in my purse and DD had brilliant timing in asking for sandwiches today for lunch which has saved me money for school dinners. We may just have to be inventive with what she takes! Have plenty of carrots though and she is quite liking carrot sticks at the moment so that tops up her sandwiches etc.

Best get a couple of jobs done before the school run now.

DH regular saver matures today so need to get that money switched over after work today. :)

Both children slept in their own beds all night! I woke up alone! :j:j

One account gone slightly overdrawn

Great for the savings account maturing and peaceful sleep!

We did well this week on the pack lunch front too this week whe dd1 decided she wanted to take them on Sunday night. Her lunch this week will be consisting mainly of nibbly bits and bobs to use up odds and ends;)

Payday this week, have had an incremental rise and a small cost of living rise so should be able to get quite a bit more paid off the kitchen this month. Am looking forward to seeing that WIOTW figure tumble.

My TC have stopped and I was hoping for some help with childcare again this year as still paying for 2 children! Am hoping that as soon as I can renew and update I may still be entitled, that's if it is worth the bother. Doesn't help that my childcare voucher account hasn't been credited this month.

So my to do list today

    • attend course this afternoon
    • sort out childcare vouchers
    • get all washing put away (catch up from 2 days at work!)
    • visit my mum :)

oooh, I did everything on my list!! :D

Money has appeared in childcare voucher account so that was one less thing to do.

Have done all the money switching for the month but not worked out yet what I am paying off various bits. Have had two NSD's though which is always a good thing!

Spent time playing outdoors with the children today. They are changing so much and it's lovely to see how well DD is developing. I've really noticed the difference in her play as she can do so many things she couldn't do last year. Am hoping for sunny Summer holidays so we can make lots of memories :)

Lovely bright morning and I'm not in work until late afternoon so pretty much a day off. Trying to work out what to do. Might see if anything is happening at local NT properties.

Managed to pay £620 off the kitchen yesterday following payday which goes to show how much you can save. That would have made a lovely OP though. :)

Food shop today using Aldi £5 off voucher. Also need to get various seeds planted that I bought last week!

Having DD's bedroom plastered next week following electrical work and fitted furniture so tomorrow's overtime shift will more than cover that. :)

    Thanks Alchemilla :)

Am off this week so plan to catch up on quite a few tasks. DD inschool and littlest at nursery so have bought some garden items from Ald*. We bought some pretty solar lights last week and DH is usually totally disinterested in the garden but even he has commented on how good they look. Want to get garden looking really pretty and then hope for some warm summer evenings! Have bought some buxus plants to go on driveway and it looks better already.

Also plan to clean drive, patio and paths with jeyes fluid, according to the instructions it will do the job with little elbow grease :D we shall see!

    Other things to do today

    • cancel sky (hopefully the one months notice will still enable DH to watch remaining football games.
    • ring blinds company as new blinds are broken :(
    • email consultant re: home party
    • plant seeds
    • clean bathrooms
    • meal plan to avoid food going off
Think that should be enough to keep me going :D

I am really hoping for that nice summer too! Well done on the OP and cancelling Sky. We cancelled for a year and they inundated us with offers to get us back, the longer you wait the more they throw at you!
