It sounds like you had a great weekend and achieved lots!

We are going to be really tight as well this month- should be some interesting meal combinations emerging from the freezer.

Drain survey done. The problem appears to be on the main road as camera went down 12 metres and was clear up until that point. Will need to get onto water board once the report is back.

Having a few things I need to do tomorrow so making a list to remind myself:

    • Send off remaining paperwork for course
    • Send in medical form
    • Try and work out when 0% CC deals end and find a new one!
    • Clean house
    • Do top up shop and try to keep spends at a minimum
    • Find a few things to ebay and get them listed
    • Sort out DS nursery hours
I think that's it, if I think of anymore I'm not sure i'll get it all done! :rotfl:

Haven't done very well with my list as really poorly motivated today. Think I'm having one of those days so hoping this mood lifts!

Managed to plant rescued raspberry plants and also planted some broad beans I'd started off from seed in the house. The garden seems to have one a bit wild with the rain we have had though. It certainly is hard work keeping on top of it all.

Car booked in for last minute MOT tomorrow morning, I really hope it passes or I will have no car. I'll either have to walk to and from work or take DH car and leave him housebound with two children all weekend!

Car passed the MOT after a few lights/wipers were replaced so nothing major and not too expensive. :j

Worked all weekend so a couple of NSD's and the rain watered the garden so money and time saving!

Had 48p credit the bank from TCB, I guess it all helps? Payday still seems so far away!

Have been trying to sort out toys today. There are so many here which we have acquired over the years and the children really don't need them.DD is happiest when drawing/writing/reading and DS's latest craze is playing with the toy mop and bucket. We have a playroom full of toys and it's ridiculous! I've advertised a few bundles on local selling sites but am otherwise thinking of asking DH to do a carboot sale on Sunday and charity shop what doesn't sell. I'm selling lots of it cheap but will keep each £1 in a moneybox and use it towards renewing our NT membership.

Current account not looking too good but should rectify itself with DH's weekly pay until we star again from scratch when I get paid. Am hoping for some backpay this month and will use it towards some work to the outside of the house.

Just need to chase up the decorator about the quote and when he can do the work and most jobs are up to date :)

I've been slowly syphoning off dd's toys too. She wont part with anything, yet rarely plays with them.

Have got in touch with decorator and waiting for him to get back to me. Budget done following payday next week. It always looks so good on paper doesn't it. I have based mine on bring home pay of £1400 but it is more now but this is the figure I have always used. The idea is to pay off the CC anything I earn over this. DH wages also based on old bring home pay rather than the payrise figure so this gives us around £300-400 a month we shouldn't miss. :D ....... in theory!

Small shopping list made to see us through the weekend until do big shop on Sunday. I plan to do lots of batch cooking from this as food still is our downfall - we spend a lot more than I would like.

I have budgeted £100 a week for food and petrol for 2 cars (we both work less than 5 miles away). Does that sound do-able as we haven't been succeeding!

Have done the magazine subscription on Gallygirl's diary. Set it to come out of a reward account which gives me a free £5 a month so not cost anything at all! :j

Hi cath, I'm on a very tight food budget this month too, have you looked a "a girl called jack"'s blog. She is FANTASTIC. Lots of healthy easy store cupboard receipes for well under 50p a portion, i have a freezer full at the moment, last night was bean burgers (9p each) tonight is her gigantes plaki (17p a portion , butter beans in Mediterranean sauce) well worth a look ;)
