hi Caroline, not sure yet. I haven't had chance to look at them both properly but the first one is more of a 'pin paper too board' but the other one has a chalkboard and a board for marker pens as well as a big roll of paper that attaches to the bottom. Realistically we don't need both. I wonder if the first one would sell on ebay at collection only? Otherwise may sell it to a friend for the £1 i paid!

Have been to dentist after suffering all night and a colleague telling me i looked dreadful this morning! Turns out I had a severely infected nerve which has now come out. I am waiting for the numbness to go so that I can swallow some more painkillers! Need to go back in 2 weeks (if not pregnant) to finish the filling - ouch! Was not what I expected from today!

Additionally a syndicate I am not part of have won a very nice sum of money - not my day today is it!!!

Survived the night painfree!! I was warned to expect pain for a few days! I must be a tough cookie :rotfl:

Have had some bank credits today -phew!! Have replaced the money I 'borrowed' from various accounts and tried to add a little extra without leaving us short until payday in 2 weeks! I think we can manage with a food budget of £50 to last 2 weeks but both cars need petrol  I do so well saving money and then before I know it nearly £100 disappears when we need petrol!

£50 of sainsburys vouchers did arrive yesterday from when I took out home insurance in September. We shop there anyway and their deals are pretty good. I may open a savings account just to get double points on shopping which would mean quadruple! Have nearly £50 worth of nectar points but not sure what to do with them. I seem to notice more of a saving if I spend them in homebase rather than knocking small amounts of food bill. I would like a new christmas tree which isn't very MSE so I suppose I could get a 'free' one with my points.

Hi CathT, I have been suffering with toothache too, that comes and goes. Its awful isnt it, the worse pain ever.

I do all the surveys I can, although sometimes I let some go as cant be bothered. especially gtm ones.

I allow myself £100 as spare cash should I need it and almost every month its nearly all gone and mostly I dont know where, its shocking really. The gc and petrol is mostly under control tho.

Hope you get your toothache sorted now you have an appointment Pam. I'm just glad I have always been sympathetic to people with toothache in the past because it really is not nice!
I really don't know where the time is going at the moment and feeling shattered does not help! Could probably test from today but am going to wait until after the weekend
Starting to panic a little though as I has to take naproxen (ibuprofen) for my tooth and then read that it shouldn't be taken during pregnancy. I absolutely stick to the book in pregnancy so worried a little now. In a way hoping i'm not pregnant in case i've caused damage :( I realy am a worrier during pregnancy.

Had my tesco vouchers through, pleased with £26 as we don't shop there so I assume we have these from using the tesco credit card to buy the car. Not a fan of using the CC and paying off each month just to earn points as it never seems to balance! Possibly worth it for the double points if I am more organised tho!

Well, have been shopping around for quotes for a little tikes car which my mum has been persuaded to buy DD for xmas! Amazon is one of the cheapest but same price in tesco and i was thinking i could use my points and get cashback and still pocket the £40 off my mum! But it's not in stock in Tesco - typical. Very much doubt they have them instore but might go and check tomorrow. (Am i wrong for using points and pocketing cash?)

Car wouldn't start this morning!!! not sure what is wrong with it, a mechanic friend was meant to come and look at it while i was in work but DH not updated me yet!

Need to have such a huge sort out of this house. Not pregnant this month - think the sorting out would be easier if i was as we would know what we needed!

  • Hi,

Sorry things weren't as you wanted. Do you want me to PM you my tip? I don't want to do graphic on here as i don't know who i would gross out, but it might help.

On the positive side, no need to worry now about the ibuprofen.

Coupe car - there is definitely nothing wrong with using the points and then saving the cash. I love it when my mum asks me to buy something for her on my CC and i can have all the airmiles. She won't have one herself, and won't shop online. This month i spent £121 for her. It all adds up. ;)

    Hi Michelle,

That would be kind thank you. I just automatically assumed it would happen! Can't wait to see DD's face when we go to mum's christmas morning and the car will be in the living room! Somehow don't think we'll be able to tear her away to go out for lunch!

  • Just sent you a PM.

I bet her face will be a picture. Remember to have the camera handy. My favourite bit is looking back at videos of their reaction to stuff like that.

Far too much spending happening here at the moment! Payday still a week away

Car wouldn't start the other day - turns out it was the battery so at least not too expensive or serious but was still £60
Had a bit of a shopping spree at tesco yday, found DD little tikes car (well done to DH for spotting it, i didn't think it would be on a shelf!) Doubled up the points and managed to get a tree for half price too! Have wanted one for ages but DH didn't think there was anything wrong with the old one. Wasn't full bodied enough for me, used to have to put the decoration in the gaps! Bought a lovely 6ft snow effect one so can't wait!

I wonder if tesco will repeat this offer every year, might be worth us doing everyday spending on the Tesco CC if so (as long as i keep track!) Already need to pay £100 when i get paid!
I must remember to budget for Christmas in advance next year! :rotfl:

Just the parents to buy now, no idea what to get each of them! inlaws not getting much tho!!

Am soooo excited to see DD's face christmas morning!! Luckily I am off christmas day (only got rota the other day) so we are off out for lunch, bit extravagant but it will be lovely and saves cooking!

woohoo for getting the car. OH has a nectar card and enough points to trade for £30 in amazon vouchers so I am still tempted but TBH Santa has already been more than generous this year. MiL has informed me she is buying the girls a trampoline and some giant garden skittles and books/dvd's for Christmas so really they don't need a car.
