Gorgeous morning here but am stuck in waiting for a parcel to arrive! Off out for a meal with friends later but as won't be drinking will be cheap and not a late night. Am exhausted at the moment and trying not to get my hopes up that i'm pregnant or i'll be disappointed. Although a friend asked me if i was pregnant yesterday as she dreamt i was! how odd!

DH has kindly sorted out the last of his CD's for me to send to musicmagpie so will check what i can get for those. Have a £15 OP coming out with mortgage on the 1st (everyone else look forward to updating their spreadsheets/signatures????)

Does anyone know of a good place/website to trade in i-pods?
Also has anyone used 'weebuy laptop'? We have an old one sitting in a cupboard the site tells me i can get £90 for but I am concerned about the hard drive - they do promise to wipe it but wondered if anyone had experience if this. Really do not fancy having my identity stolen! Can i wipe it myself???

    Have a good day all!

Hi catht, have been having a nosey at your diary this afternoon, you are doing so well, trying many of the things that I have been, surveys, clicks etc. I wouldn't have had a clue where to start had it not been for all the great diaries on here. Pammyj74 always seems to find lots of ways to make extra pennies, likewise michelle.
Its sometimes hard to get the OH onboard in the same way I think, My DH has £180 for himself every month, which just disappears, I used to feel sorry for him for having so little as it was all we could afford, now I think OMG what are you spending it on! I could feed us for weeks on that if I had to!
But like you he lets me get on with everything financially, which is pretty trusting really as most of our married life we have been getting deeper into debt, and I was the one supposedly looking after the money. Sometimes I still have the odd splurge, but it tends to be things like wine/ chocolate etc. rather than meals out or clothes , like it used to be.
I hope all goes well on the baby front for you, all this MFW hard work should really pay off when you have demanding teenagers to pay for :) best wishes , newgirly

Thanks Grateful, I am very impatient so baby dust is very welcome!! I am such a planner too and nearly organised for DH to sort out spare room in preparation when he is off in a couple of weeks!

Thanks Newgirly, I am so gald I came across this forum! If i find any good daily clicks I will let you know (the cheap flights one has disappeared!) I think if we had more disposable income DH would be happy to throw it at the mortgage but since we have to sacrifice a little to make the OP he isn't as enthusiastic! Although I did drop in conversation that if we overpaid £500 a month we could pay it off in 10 years.

ooo good luck with the baby dust ..will also send some your way! I think the MF board is a good place to hang out as we seem to be having a big share of babies lately! :)
I think getting the OH on board is sometimes tough , mine is happy for me to be doing this but his level of what he is prepared to sacrifice for being MF sooner is much different to mine! ;) my 2011 targets is firstly to get a level of emergency savings that Im happy with and also savings for new bathroom that Im hoping will happen some time next year- then I will re-look at the finances to figure out what is a realistic amount to OP monthly and set up the d/d hopefuly from january ...I find I am terrible otherwise for moving money from savings back into my current ac to pay for things that arent "emergencies" ... if the money is gone in d/d then its gone and less likely to be frittered away on stuff I just didnt buget for (meals out, presents etc..)
have a nice relaxing sunday (until work starts anyway!)

tyo, our OH sound similar!! I am horrified sometimes when I hear what DH has wasted his money on!

LP, i think it is around 12th november although may be a couple of days later. Have clearblue tests ready in stock and you can test from 4 days early so if i'm impatient I will be able to test!

I really don't think we'd need to buy anything this time round for baby! We have wasted so much on things we thought we needed!

Signature updated as Novemeber mortgage balance showing. OP's are so hard to find at this time of year though!

Went Christmas shopping yesterday and found some great toys for DD but missed out on a 2 for £20 offer after spending £15 on a toy so will investigate that today! Have got all the presents out of spare room to sort out but now they are in our bedroom so DD is banned from there during daylight hours at the moment! Did consider wrapping a few but then I really won't have anywhere to store anything!

Have a day off with DH today so plan to get a bit of sorting out done - mainly decluttering!

Unfortunately sent main account into the red after our spending spree so have had to correct that this morning, can you believe I am annoyed it has cost me a pound going overdrawn!! On a good note though, £5 has been paid into all 3 Halifax accounts this morning. Rather than overpayments I think I will keep that money towards annual renewals of insurance etc. I also need to revise my SOA because I have not accounted for these and despite cancelling various DD I don't seem to have extra left over for OP's!

    Morning all,

Having a decluttering day so feeling better about that. Clutter seems to put me in a bad mood!! Thankfully Christmas shopping is nearly done although I'm annoyed I can't find something I wanted to get DD. I swear we had a flyer through (thought it was for wilkos) advertising a keyboard, guitar and microphone for £30 - do you think I can find it! Have browsed online at a few stores and still can't find it and am starting to think I imagined it! If it's because of baby hormones I don't mind. I have no obvious symptoms but am thinking I possibly could be so roll on next friday!

Have found 2 i-pods this morning we don't need so DH has taken them to be valued in our local CEX store. The online valuations were promising so be interesting to see what we can get.

Not much else planned, am trying to rest before work, i honestly feel like I could go back to bed!! <must stop getting my hopes up it's a baby making me tired!>
