Well i'm signed up for fatcheese (thanks fore referral Iris) but for some reason my activation email not working! the link is 'striked through'

Not much else been happening here, have been spending very little day to day so hoping this will result in a decent OP amount just before payday! Also expecting small payrise this month so anything above my normal amount can be sent as on OP.

If I can regularly overpay £150 a month i will be well on my way of breaking 100k barrier end of 2012!

Have had heating on for a few hours this evening tho <tut tut>

Not sure where you are but up here [Scotland] its really chilly in the evenings so we've been putting the heating on for an hour or two after about 7.30pm. Apparently was below zero overnight in some rural areas - brrrrrrr.

Well done on the OPs, its such a good feeling to see the mortgage coming down I think. Good you are getting a payrise even if its small - so many people seem to have had their pay frozen

Teapot, payrise is based on an incremental rise as they are guaranteed even tho April rise isn't. My DH hasn't had an official payrise for years and only gets pay increase when changes jobs. Any extra would be nice! btw we're in Wales.

I really need to start saving a reserve fund as we depleted our small amount of savings when buying new car. Have to keep an eye out for decent monthly savings accounts and get the ball rolling. Once i start i know I'll be happier but although i'd rather send it all as OP I could subtract savings balance from mortgage balance to make me feel better!

Mortgage is on 3.09% so i doubt there are any savings accounts out there to beat that?

£23.65 arrived in account from Amazon today. Not sure whether to save, pay off 0% card or send as OP! oh the decisions!

Have to say that spending it never occured to me at all!

    Quick update:

OP's been a little slow this month due to lower than expected wage last month and buying new car (which decided to get a flat tyre the other day, so that is where my Amazon money has gone!)

Have a fair bit to do this weekend:

    1) Set up new DD for BG and update SOA due to changed amounts
    2) Sort through paperwork for new Abbey account I have opened
    3) Chase QUIDCO as nothing is showing for opening above account! (Is TCB more reliable????)
    4) Tidy and clean whole house!!!!!
    5) Pick up parcel from Post Office (wasn't expecting anything!)
    6) Check current accounts to see what I can send as OP as not too long till Payday!
    7) Do some daily clicks
    8) Make a note of everything I have signed up as I am already losing track!

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Energy Monitor from British Gas arrived this morning, has anyone else got one?

Have set my DD at £30.50 for elec and £30 for Gas (they did want £60 for some reason but allowed me to change it!) Will update SOA to see the difference it makes.

Have been to Mr. S for some shopping which will hopefully last us till payday! Not got anything planned this weekend as DH working all of it!

Am getting really frustrated by the lack of OP's this month! Had to clear a CC bill of £750 before buying the car so little funds left for the mortgage. As have nothing big to pay out for next month November should be a better month.
Have £76 in my Quidco account but no idea how long that will take to track. Have been doing daily clicks and surveys too.

Have finally decided to renew my Costco membership and although I seems to spend a lot today £90 including renewal I know it will save us money in the long term. Have managed to come in on budget on £350 foor and petrol (for 2 cars) budget this month so really pleased with that. Might even get it down further!

Am just so frustrated that i've not been able to physically send any more money to the mortgage!

    Hi Cath,

Sorry , just catching up on a few diaries whilst I have a minute..Did you get Fat cheese sorted out ?

Try not to be too frustrated about the Op's - Every little helps. £632 is actually a huge amount of money that you haven't actually missed. Thats good going! :)
