That's a great surplus. I think looking back we wasted ours when dd was a baby.0

Wow I am amazed at everything you do, the surveys etc are so time consuming they have gone on the back burner for me. I try to do onepoll when I can and have it as my home page when I log in but still dont do it as often as I should.
That surplus will be amazing to have, I could only dream lol
I keep thinking of extending my house rather than move. thinking of doing a loft extension, but the only way we can get proper stairs is it we use the box room for it so in actual fact we wouldn't gain an extra room really but just a bigger room or maybe two up there cos its the size of my lounge diner. I keep changing my mind. If I stay here then I might pay the mortgage down to a couple of grand and then remortgage but then my kids will be older and I wont need to. Its so frustrating to make a decision arrghhh.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

The extra will be down to TC being based on previous years income and me being back at work. I get another payrise just after I go back too which will be nice.

Hi Cath, you are doing so well I can't seem to have quality time with lo and make/ save money! I think I am too obsessed about us doing really good stuff at a weekend, cause I feel so bad being at work all week!

Hi EG, it helps that I'm home everyday and can fit things in between naps. DD still has a 2 hour nap which is handy and she goes to nursery for 4 hours twice a week.
Bought a huge craft box so plan to do some good things with dd later, baby permitting!
Finally got to payout on Onepoll, they made the last 60p very difficult and the last 15p almost impossible! Will OP that as soon as received. Still waiting on GTM cheque (£30) and am already halfway to payout again.
DH turned down the offered job as it was only 20 hours and involved working outside of nursery opening hours. However, had another interview last week and was offered the job on Tuesday with his contract hand delivered yesterday! It's an early start but he will finish at 1:30pm each day and it's Mon-Fri with no bank holidays. I have to work Christmas etc so this was an important consideration. It's less money (nothing major) but it's less than 10 mins from home so we will save a small fortune on petrol costs! He starts next Friday and is handing notice in today. He is going to offer to help them out with bookings etc though. He's also going from monthly to weekly pay so in my mind his last pay from currrent job will be extra money we don't need - am I right?June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Not a great deal happening here. Got accounts back in credit today due to CB and TC going in. Might be able to arrange another OP if we're careful. Waiting for Onepoll money to land in paypal account so that will help. A £90 OP will beat target for the year and knock a month off mortgage.
Am totally unorganised for Christmas, all presents bought but nothing wrapped. Haven't even thought about the food shop! Want to clean whole house before sorting decs and tree but just not finding the time as DS likes to sleep on my knee and DD likes to wake him up!
Nursery bill should drastically reduce in January as will only have to pay for 1.5 hours instead of 8 every week (well that was how I understood it!) Will allow the credit to build up and then I can reduce the voucher amount meaning I'll have more in my take home pay.
Is everyone else in the festive mood and getting organised?June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Glad to hear abour the credits and OP.
I am hoping 2012 is the year I can make lots of OP.
Getting organised can be difficult with the littles one, I have resorted to wrapping presents and card writing when my toddlers are asleep but it is so tempting to go to bed too!0 -
I am not in the festive mood and I am not organised at all! I am waiting to break up from work to get things sorted out. I am lucky ds knows nothing about christmas as we have no decs up yet!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Well, i've got a few things done since I last posted. Tree is up, DH decorated it and did a fantastic job. He is quite artistic so it looks the best it ever has! Have had two present wrapping sessions and got lots done but realised yesterday there are two gifts I haven't bought! Argh! Don't really have any money either so off to Mr S to use points to get some clothes. I can't believe I didn't realise sooner, probably didn't help that the present list was with the presents I had managed to buy.
Still no further OP made but am unsure when we get paid this month, it's usually a few days early but no one seems to know
Have spent some time researching mortgage rates as our 2 year tracker (BR +2.69%) ends in April. The rates from current provider are awful and their SVR has gone up since I last checked! The best I can find (like a few others) is with First Direct so I need 30 minutess peace to ring them to see if we qualify. I checked their online calculator and we should be okay but our wages are rubbish this year with me being on maternity leave. This really is a priority to get done though so maybe today if the children co-operate (they are 3 and 10 weeks so not holding out much hope!)
Hoping that Santa brings me a full nights sleep this year, night feeds are not getting any better and loads of my friends with babies the same age claim that they are sleeping all night! I don't even get a solid 3 hours sleep!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Sorry to hear you aren't getting even 3 hours sleep, have you asked your health visitor? In the end we stuffed earthlet during the day (with breast milk!) and he managed to get the sleep thing in the end!!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j
