Hello,
36 weeks is a very good place to be as if baby decides to make an entrance any time now it will be fine...! My last was nine pounds and I am only 5 ft so it was a little eye watering but no pain relief. To be honest the size makes little difference in the scheme of things, a contraction is painful whether the baby is five or ten pounds!
Enjoy the last few weeks of relative leisure!
Squirrel:jPaid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
The bleach is a pregnancy thing, I LOVE the smell of it! Last pregnancy it was apple dettol. SPD a little easier today, it settled a bit after paracetamol and a bath yesterday. DD was 9lb 10.5oz and my labour was brill, I just worry if this one is much bigger it could be a little more traumatic at the point of exit!
Have decluttered an old pair of DD's trainers and boots today and made £6 in the process. I think DH will end up with this though as we have been spending his personal spends the last few days on 'living'!
Weather is too dreadful to have a day out so think i'll just do soime more sorting out later. I have mislaid some grobags somehow so need to find those.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Just submitted application form for my absolute dream job! Closing date is next week but thought I best be a step ahead since baby due soon! I just need to ring the relevant manager at some point to tell her I have applied and hope she watches out for my application! Shortlisting tends to take 6 weeks (although was 10 weeks for last post I applied for). The longer it is the better really so I am further into my maternity leave!
Set up OP for September following payday, it is a struggle to send £150 this month but achievable with some careful budgeting. I almost sent £15,000 - that was not budgetted for!
This keeps me on track with my goals. I just need to find another £300 now to knock off another month.
Looked quickly at mortgage deals and it looks like Barclays have some good fixed deals so need to investigate this further.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Feel a bit rubbish today, think I'm just too tired to feel like I am achieving anything. Will try and do some surveys in a bit.
It's gone quite cold here at the moment, time for extra layers I think!
Cot mobile arrived so that just needs assembling, it's got 3 pieces and I can't work out how to put them together!
Have paid CC bill and replaced money I borrowed from savings account as current account gone overdrawn anyway. Think i'll have a nose on tax credits calculator to see if can get accurate estimation of new amounts.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Sorry you are not feeling great cath. Its turned quite cold here too, I'm starting to get a bit conererned about how high our bills will get this year and have already bought some fleece dressing gowns for the kids and fleece blankets for snuggling on the sofa.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0

Think I'm coming down with a cold, feel heavy in the eyes and nose - grrrr. That will be the lack of vitamin C I've had following my tummy bug!
Did some figures yesterday to see how many years we can comfortably knock off the mortgage when our tracker ends in April as I want to go onto a fixed rate and reduce the term as well as continuing to make additional OP's. Will post some figures later as got to get ready now for consultant appointment.
Hoping to have a good money making day - it feels like little money is headed my way at the moment. Also possibly need to chase up TCB as the home insurance I bought hasn't tracked, policy not due to start until end of month although I have already paid - not sure if this makes a difference?
25 days until due date! I dreamt last night I'd had the baby and for some reason he was in a nursery full of about 30 cots and he was practically sitting up cos he was so big!!!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
I had dreams like this my DS was large for dates from about 20 weeks and i kept having the same dream that he was born the size of a toddler and we had to sell the pram as he was already walking
.
He was 10 days 'early' and weighed 9.13lb!! But in all honesty it was a much quicker and easier birth than DD who was 7.7lb i was only in hospital 11 hrs from when i was admitted to walked out. With no pain relief or stitches.:D you'll be fine.0 -
Wow no pain relief or stitches! thats amazing! Sure you'll be fine, hope your cold didn't come to anythimg.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j
