Hope you are feeling ok, when is bubba due?

18 days until due date October 3rd but it would be nice to go before then. If not I will be induced on the 10th - i pushed for this because of baby's size. Also I am meant to be having sweeps from 39 weeks so hopefully if they do them regularly I won't get to induction.
Sorry to hear you have had pains so much Cath. I was only in hospital from just after 5am to 3pm with DS2. I made sure I pushed to be discharged as DS1 was only 18 months and needed me too. There is some hope you will be quick.

I can't believe you are almost there too. I remember us chatting about TTC when sml was pregnant.

Had some more tightenings last night with tummy pain and backache but went to bed and they eased and I slept throught til 5:30am. It's taking me forever to get going in the mornings at the moment but caught up on a few things now. Have a stew in the slow cooker (first time i've done one) so assume I just add in some cornflour and water near the end???? Just standing there and making that resulted in backache though! I must sound like a whiner but I have been carrying a baby of full term size since 35 weeks and it's taking it's toll!! (no stretchmarks though so I am grateful for that ;))

Has anyone read/watched 'Atonement'? I am trying to read the book and can't get into it and am wondering whether to give up rather than persevering as it takes the enjoyment of reading away!

I gave up about a third of the way through as I just couldn't get into it, very rarely do I do that but life is too short!

Hope all goes well with the bump :)

  • Just to stop you going mad Michelle, it was Ian McEwan and he did write a book called Saturday. I haven't tried any of his other books, glad I haven't now!

I have well and truly given up with the book and deleted the film off the Sky planner. I do have 'the time travellers wife' to read and really enjoyed the film.

The stew was lovely! I'd mixed up a couple of oxo cubes with hot water and added that and then stirred in some cornflour and water about an hour before the end. Have about 4 portions to freeze too which at a stretch might feed 2 people with some mashed potato or would easily feed DD twice.

Am going to make a chilli tomorrow.

Earthgirl don't find me too inspiring, I might be using the slow cooker but spent nearly £80 in Mr S this week!

Michelle what veggies do you put in yours? I only used potatoes and carrots as can't think of anything else that won't go mushy.

  • Fingers crossed that your new arrival doesn't keep you waiting much longer! My last was nearly 25 years ago but your description of hanging onto the trolley brought it all back! Good luck,

Hi Cath :) Not long to go now we hope!

Re Attonment - I haven't read the book but the film was a waste of time (IMO). The Time Traveller's Wife book was brilliant!! but takes some reading :) I've read it three times so far
Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck :)

SSS I am starting to have labour flashbacks too but it's got to be done!

Thanks Smlsave I really enjoyed the film so hope to really enjoy the book.

Had a really busy day. Popped to a fundraiser my friend was doing with some cakes DH had made, came home and had visitors. DD hasn't napped and is exhausted so has just gone to bed. I've been pretty much ok apart from backache at times.

Planning a quiet evening in front of the TV and possibly catching up on surveys as I've noticed I've had a few invites. This week has flown, it feels like I have only just turned 37 weeks but I'm 38 weeks on Monday and we are nearly there already.

I really don't know where the days are going and how I used to fit in a 30 hour working week aswell! Have slept very well the last 2 nights so have a little more energy but DD is soon zapping that! Mobility is pants today cos of SPD :(

Still chipping away at surveys but have forgotten to check onepoll all week -whoops! Am back up to 500 points on GTM though so be good to get to payout on that soon. Also not too far off payout on mysurvey but the surveys on there seem to take forever!

How long does Toluna take to payout? Requested Amazon voucher 20th august.

My wage was truly awful this month so have cleared out my renovation savings and we are being extra careful. I'm just glad I had that few hundred pounds put to one side. Doesn't help I had to pay car tax, MOT and annual house insurance this month!

Apparantly pay will be better next month when SMP kicks in. I think I only received the occupational part of it this month.
