I took out a 3% Platinum Moneyback card last month but the total Moneyback on my account is showing as exactly 2% (a figure that does not feature anywhere in the tier structure), not 3%.
Called useless Indian support department and they simply said I would have to write to the back office people to query it.
Seriously thinking about closing the card here and now and putting my spend back on Morgan Stanley who at least have local (IE UK) customer support and have been very reliable so far. But only 1%. Why do I suspect that this 3% is a scam and, like NTL, they use CS as a wall to turn away customer queries, rather than answer them.
Has anybody else here got this card and have proof that 3% is being credited to their account?0 -

What does the £400.00 Total Eligible Spend figure on my first statement mean?0
-
It means that £400 of what you have spent on your credit card and is shown on your statement is elligable for cashback.
Well, that's what you would think.
But my first statement total was £200.32! All normal purchases. Why does it not say "£200.32 is eligible for cashback?".
It says:
MoneyBack Summary
Previous Eligible Spend £ 0
New Eligible Spend £ 400
Adjustments £ 0
Spend Credited for Moneyback £ 0
Total Eligible Spend £ 400
Where does this £400.00 figure come from? All I can think of is the £400.00 includes purchases made after the statement date. Odd way of doing it, if it does though.0 -

I had the same question...Iwas told because you receive 3% cashback in the first three months (which is double the normal max of 1.5%) they need to increase your eligible spend for the calculation.0
