I rang Am Ex today 0800 700 727. they said errors had been made, other people included and the full 6000 points will be added in next 4 days. Maybe other people will also have to ring to ensure they get the full points?

I have just checked my Nectar points and only received 2010 points and not the 6000 as I was made to belive. I will have to give them a ring also. I wonder how many people did not receive the 6000 points?

I had only received 2000 points so rang AMEX last week and they said the points would need to be added manually.

Checked points again today, still only 2000 so rang again and now they say you don't get the full balance of points until after the second bill is received?
A cynic is a man who knows the price of everything but the value of nothing.
  • Same here, only received 2000 points so far.

Just received this e-mail from AMEX:
American Express will credit the remainder of
your bonus points when you receive your second statement.

If you have any further queries, please contact American Express on
    0800 700 727.
Called this number but the girl at the other end (very hard to understand her) kept on asking me " how much did I spent and where , etc. etc." I wasn't getting anywhere so I called this number next: 0800 587 3724 ( thanks to SAYNOTO0870NUMBERS site). Here a very polite gentleman told me that very soon the extra points will be added to my account. We shall see!!!

    Hooray,
just checked my amex account online and they have added the full 6000 pts, however it took 2 phone calls and a polite conversation to a sweet sounding girl whom said they will be added tomorrow.
I used the amex rewards phone number of (01273863863), which is not a forigen call centre but a uk 1. Although its not a free phone it got the points added and I dont have to wait for my second statement, thus pay of small debt and ditch the card,
a bid thank you to u all and espically Martin

Does anyone know if there is a mimimum salary requirement for the Amex Blue?

    Yes, £12000.
  • Amex Platignum cash back sounds great - except that virtually all retailers in Jersey refuse to take them because Amex charge the merchant much more than other cards do.
