Wow can't believe its been so long since I last updated. New job is going very well, I seem to be getting on well with the other staff and am picking up the supervisory aspects quicker than I had expected (ie office work in the evening). I have found myself buying crisps and snacks to eat on my breaks though as well as a litre of water pretty much every day, which has to stop, thankfully I've got several empty litre water bottles lying about and the tap water here tastes pretty good so I can top them up and take them in with me.

I'm also pathetically excited to be seeing the boy on thursday - its only been a week since I last saw him but it feels like ages which really is utter madness as before I moved it could be months between us getting to spend time together!

On a very good note however I've still not transferred any of my recent wages out of the receiving account in to my spending account - instead I've been pretty much living on 50% of the money from my mystery shopping account. I'm leaving the other 50% in there to cover any tax I'll owe at the end of the year - although that looks to be minimal at the moment due to expenses- and to use to pay off the over draft as soon as theres enough in there to cover it. I've also started using the credit card when I shop again, and getting the money paid off as soon as I come home which is slowly but surely boosting the cashback due next year.

Thanks missy, it still surprises me when I arrive in the afternoon and get handed the keys, I feel like a kid playing shop half the time. :rotfl: The other half I'm having a good old letch at the customers (lots and lots of young fit men* in uniform as its a military training base) although you'd think after spending most of the last 4ish years around the military I'd be over that part by now**!
*there are women too but I tend not to letch over them....
**weirdly after 2 years I have still never seen my petboy in uniform - I'm thinking about banning him from the shop just in case ;)

I'm amazed too at the moment with the amount of ms'ing I've done lately if I'm honest, but then moving to a new area has meant I was completely free of all the rotations which were limiting me when I was up north, plus when I moved I didn't need to worry about fitting things in around work as I either wasn't working or was only working evenings at the first job. It's a touch more complicated now - I've had to cancel a couple of jobs this week which I booked a few weeks back because they had to be done in the times I have to be at work.

Am well stuck in to the rotations now though as my gapbuster account shows with the number of red lines from my attempts to pick up more jobs though. :rotfl:

Another quick shop done before work this lunchtime, just in the process of getting it written up fingers crossed I'll manage to get it paid in the pay run at the end of the month but knowing this company I'll be waiting til early next month instead. Meh at least I can pay most of the reimbursement straight off my credit card this time - paid for the items in cash and then found a £5 note under the back wheel of my car in the carpark at work this evening - noone except staff ever park there and I was the only one left so I reckon that makes it may money.

I really have to stop being so blinkin lazy during the day, I rolled out of bed at just after midday today and popped in to town, bought myself an ironing tidy and some clothes hangers from Robert Dyas because I'm fed up of having a blinkin great airer sat next to me with damp clothes on it and my suitcase still in the middle of my floor. First washing load though won't be done for a few more days as I had much less to get done than I thought I did. After making that rather enjoyable realisation I have done absolutely sod all except eat and watch rubbish on TV. Still I can see the floor now because I finally hung up the rest of my clothes so I could put my suitcase on top of my wardrobe.

But I really do need to get up nice and early tomorrow as I have a mystery shop to do which I cannot put off any more so I have to force myself in to bed earlier than 4am...

Hmm once again I am failing to get an early night. But tomorrow is my day off so I shall be mostly found doing the blue assed fly routine round the area mystery shopping by train.....and if I remember doing washing before I go out so I have clean dry work clothes ready for sunday.

This week I darent look at my bank balance and I can't check the balance of my salary account as they've blocked my access after I set up the standing order to pay my rent - the money is leaving my account they just won't let me log in to it to check the balances....must get around to phoning them over the weekend really and get it unblocked.

Still haven't got around to getting the account unblocked but my 'spends and mystery shopping' accounts are looking fairly healthy thanks to a payment from one company coming in a little earlier than I expected. Will sit and work out what proportion of the income was expenditure to pay off the credit card then shift half of whats left in to my tax account for when the tax man comes acalling.

Finally got the account unblocked....and there was more money in it than I expected!

It looks like the bar job have over paid me - by almost double, given that I worked there for 4 weeks and did less than my contract hours and have received payments which totaled the money owed for the first three weeks I worked there and then the last payment for the final week is equal to three weeks money - no chance that I was owed holiday pay given how little time I worked there for and can't think of any good reason they'd pay so much. So shifted it in to the linked savings account for the time being, and will wait to see if they chase it up.

On a very happy note its payday tomorrow for the new job and I have in my hands my payslip for this month, and it looks sooo good, lol. Shifted some more money about so that I actually have money to pay for my nights out over the weekend, all my other expenses come out on Tuesday so will transfer any I wind up short in to the spending account on Sunday.

Accounts didn't require any further playing with on Sunday so I've shifted money in to the spending account and then bounced it in to my savings account for the time being so I can't just fritter it.

Had a few frank conversations with the boy over the last few days, hang over induced, and we think we'll be looking to start sorting out finding ourselves somewhere to live together as in Jan for a moving date mid Feb ish (thats when he reckons his current lease runs out). Scary seeing it written down really, esp as he keeps saying 'I don't know if we can afford it' which is driving me batty, I pay £85 a week for the rent where I am now, and cover my day to day expenses, and earn roughly £10k less than him.....I know we can afford it, he just see's the loss of his gadget money, doesn't seem to matter how often I point out that if he stopped buying things he'd have more spare cash to pay off his debts quicker - to be fair to him his debt repayments are roughly equal to my monthly set aside for car insurance and my own credit card repayment but he currently has two phone contracts running because he decided he didn't like his old handset and took out a new one for a change of handset. Gah, idiot boy, but he's mine and he'll soon realise how easily we can afford it if he cuts down on the buying random junk because the money is just there in his account.
