Thanks, I'm half confident as I know the majority of the job inside out from having done it at a different site for another contractor, as well as it being a secondary part of the current job - ie if needed I have to be able to cover those shifts but its not my main work here, plus its blinkin obvious that I would eliminate a huge amount of the hassle of getting a new person security cleared as I already am for the current job. The big problem would be if they want me to work evening shifts as I'm only really able to do days unless they can 100% guarantee me a 40 hour week so I can leave the bar job. I'll just have to go with it and see what happens, if not this job then I still need to chase up the temp agency who called yesterday as the contact was out of the office when I tried her this afternoon. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Interview seemed to go well and two shops done, ready to write up when I get to work tonight since I seriously cba with them right now!
Two more to do, for which I need to set off in about an hour to get both done and not be late for work. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Had a busy day yesterday, couple of shops about 20 miles from home, then working.
I also had a phone call from the company who interviewed me offering me the job, so just need to work my notice at the current one - although I'm trying to find out exactly what notice I have to give them given I've only worked there for 4 weeks - if I can get away with just a week I could start the new job as soon as next weekend. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Thanks Clippy, I'm incredibly happy and more than a little surprised that the manager made the offer so quickly, she phoned less than 24 hours after my interview - esp as she said she'd a few more people to see Friday and Monday and I'd applied for the general position and she's offered me the Supervisor's job. Am holding off giving notice to the bar job though until tomorrow when she said I ought to have the offer letter and paperwork for my site passes through the post. I was walking around tesco grinning like a lunatic straight after she called, lol.
Looking forward to the new challenge now, and the hours will mean I can still mystery shop in the mornings before I start as well as giving me access to the free carparking near town centre I can't use at the moment as I dont have the passes for my car. Best of all its 2 miles from home and the same site as the boy works so I can get away with walking/cycling to work and if I don't feel like walking home can go bully him out of his bed to give me a lift. :jIt’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Writing my resignation letter, why on earth is it so hard to tell someone I've only worked for a matter of weeks that I don't intend to work for them any longer? It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Letter written and handed in. Boss was obviously not happy about it but thankfully it was too busy for him to ask too many questions, not sure why I'm so uncomfortable about leaving one site and company for another. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Had the usual text from the boy at silly am waking me up causing a grumpy start to the day - why on earth does he seem to think that I want to be told via text its time to get out of bed at 5.34am is utterly beyond me!
Sorted out a pile of things I want to wash then decided it was cold so went back to bed, re-emerged about midday to actually get the washing done and have spent the rest of the afternoon sprawling on the sofa with daytime telly - looking forward to starting the new job now as it's going to force me to get up at a reasonable hour to get all my household stuff and mystery shops done before I start.
Just rechecking the address for this evenings junk food shop on the way to the bar, looking at how close to the house it is I might be as well going at the very start of the time period and coming home to eat it before I head off to work, then again not bringing greasy food in to my room so as not to stink the place and my clean washing out...hmm.It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Well popped in to mr t on my way home from work due to a complete lack of food in the cupboard when I went to make dinner - other than potatoes and cheese going mouldy in the fridge. So tonights spends £19.17 in total.
2x £1 -multipack of walkers (inc comp code fingers crossed it rains!)
2x £1 - 1litre fruit juices
80p- a pair of fleece gloves - planning to walk to and from the new job as much as i can so gloves will be well used, and its 20% off clothing at the moment
£1.65 - ready meal
£3 - teabags (50% free pack)
45p - milk, as much as I want to buy bigger bottles if I don't keep it in my drawer the family drink it
£2.49 - cheese, value stuff, but i only melt it on my jacket spuds
£1 - sandwich filler
54p tin of soup, one i like but seems to be discont - only bought one can and will find a recipe
2x £1 - mixed bhaji packs
£2.96 - gu puds, a bogof and i wanted some ramekins and couldnt see any in the household goods aisles
25p - pack of two soft sub rolls
I don't think I'll need to buy much more other than some fresh veggies later in the week, but I plan to wait until I start work and see what my options are for eating on breaks - whenever i've been in there it seems to have plenty of fresh stuff which is reduced same for yoghurts. So I'll hold off buying too much other than fresh bread to make sandwiches. Although I might stock up on soup as Heinz is 6 of £3 but then again soup is often on offer. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
