I sometimes wonder that too, with all the crap that goes with teaching, but I love the essential part of the teaching itself which makes me continue...what positives are there that you like about teaching? xxxx

  • Thanks guys xxxx

There's loads, I have been over it all before kids mainly, I do know that I will leave in about 18 months which actually sounds pretty good. I know I will stick it till then, after that I would like to give Primary teaching a go - not because I think it would be easier just because I think I would find it more rewarding.

Any how I paid off another 100 pounds on the CC and the loan has dropped by 150, I took off the payment protection type thing I had on it plus my repayment should have gone out over the next few days so it will be 3 thousand and something soon which is great.

    I will be there soon!!!

must get back to my room which is currently covered in every school folder I have!

  • Do you ever get to the point with tidying when you think !!!!ing hell how come I own so much stuff?

Its not like I own loads, I just don't get time to read the books use the handbags and why the hell do I have such an issue with stationery? How many pens can one person use in a life time? and a4 folders?!! what is that about?

    It is a serious problem!!!!

my bed is clear, I need to go up in the loft tomorrow( possibly to move in at this rate!) put away "summery clothes", extra pillows. I have to look at what I spend my money on, most of this stuff is just driving me insane. There is just no room. I also need to seriously be more organised across the board.

I do feel depressed and disappointed in myself I haven't done more work this holiday. I do not know why I do it to myself. I really don't. However giving into these feelings will not get me anywhere. I need to push through even tho it is the last thing I feel like doing. The best thing I can do now is make myself a cup of cocoa and go to bed.

    Take care all

Buffy - don't forget that you moved from a larger space back to this room. In your own place you would hate office space to do your marking/planning etc and your room would have all your clothes etc.

Although I can talk - I too have so much stuff that I keep just in case. 2011 is going to be my year for decluttering and using things up.

    Night!

I used to feel frustrated all the time that I couldn't get my act together and everywhere I looked in the house was mess and chaos. But now I see it was just lack of space and no matter how much I shuffled things around - I couldn't get around the fact that we had outgrown the house. I'm sure you have enough stuff for a whole house/flat in one room - 2lbs of Flour will never fit in a 1lb bag!

That was my problem - ok there *was* some clutter/things I didn't really need, but I'm not a hoarder - I just needed more space!
Now we have it, it's so much easier to breathe because there is room for everything. I know this won't help you in the short term, but you shouldn't be so hard on yourself because you really are doing the best you can with what you have. It won't always be like this :)

As for beating yourself up for not being more productive this holiday - you like everyone else who works, need a break and that's what you've done. Enjoy the rest of it x

Buffy I have done exactly the same with work. I was ill the last week of term so have literally no planning done at all, havent marked assignments and have about 6 schemes of work to do.

I suppose I should have used my holidays to get caught up but do you know what? I work damned hard while I am at work so have decided that I would rather be run ragged in term time than give up any of my time with my family.

So there, not doing it! My new outlook for 2011 is if it doesnt get done in work time (Ok I might stay back late a few nights) then I wont be doing it, end of.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
  • I was feeling utterly awful till the James Cordon (sp)sketch from sport relief was repeated. That made me roar with laughter and now they are showing the Masterchef with the Match of the Day boys, very amusing and I love Gary! (even if he has married a girl who now has inflatable boobs bless her)

They also showed the Eddie Izzard Marathon thing, what an amazing man. Really seriously impressive.

I have done a little sorting this morning and must get back to it. Macgirl you and Urg are right when you say I simply do not have the space. I have a book case in my wardrobe! and my work for school will now be kept under the bed! Not sure what that does for my Feng shui but there you go! I haven't got access to the built in cupboard really as the bed is in front of it. its like one of those sliding puzzles to use anything! Normally it is ok because I tidy but honestly since working extra at my second job I haven't had the time. And the result is a horrible pile up of mess and disorganisation (which I really should have fixed in the summer...........hmmmm)

    any how best get on

I too have done NO school work - and you know what? I'm not going to do any. Louise's post inspired me lol.

Life is too short, and I work loads and am prepared to work during the week at home, but it's got to stop being weekends and hols (with exception of report writing which take an age and mock exam marking :) ).

Better get on with the mountain of housework instead then ;)
