Can you put on your coat and hat and just go for a walk around the block? Don't think about it, just go, then go abit further if you fancy or come back if you don't! At least you will get some fresh air before it gets dark and that might give you a spark of motivation to do something else
I find doing that, around places I don't normally notice as I drive past, clears my mind. I have a nose in people's gardens as I go past, picking up ideas and just let thoughts drift in and out of my head.
I am just rejoicing that I'm not at work and although I've eaten and drunk too much, I'm not going to beat myself up, but suspend any feelings of guilt and tackle it in the new year. And you should do the same xx
Hope that helps0 -
Remember it's a well earned Bank Holiday - you don't actually have to do 'stuff'! Reading, TV, mooching about the internet are all valid 'bank holiday' activities - and do no harm every once in a whileSometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0

Morning folks
I am feeling very emotional today. I need a good cry. Its that end of the year review feeling. I am ok but only just.
I did some filing yesterday. That was scary. I am SO !!!!ing disorganised. It is COSTING me money.
I also came to the conclusion that the ex is not good for me, or what I more accurately mean is that I should not think so much about him and what he is doing, essentially we went for a drink, he helped me out with something and has been texting but of course I am MASSIVELY over thinking it all and it is to be honest a stupid pointless waste of time. Its embarrassing. And it must stop.
Glee is on which is cheering me up! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KOL-7uUmI0
Life wise I want to gut my room and reorganise my space to welcome the new year. I am not going out New years Eve, I may go round to my friend's house for a little drink but nothing major.
Work wise, I feel the stress building already but nothing will change there until I sort my space out. I do not like my job. I wish I did, but I don't. It is essential that I focus on catching up and staying out of trouble.
Weight wise. I am fricking huge. So it will be Weight watchers for me in the New year plus an exercise video from my wide selection...Aiming to lose three stone in 2011, 1/2 a stone a month to start.
OK. need to get on.

I always find New Year sad too
Try to focus on what you have achieved this year, then start to look to the future
I am with you on the weightloss goals - I need to lose at least 2 stone, I am the heaviest I have ever been

Ditto to Shoe Gal and Beanie Lou - why is it when we start our planning we look at those things that we want to change or things that we have not achieved.
Buffy - you have also achieved loads - I hope you are able to list these too so that you can see that you are successful. You have survived yet another year of a job you hate (shows amazing will power); you have fitted a new fence to your house; you have undertaken other essential home improvements (do I remember that you even managed to do some clever DIY in the bathroom?); you have continued to reduce that debt; you went to see the Pope etc etc.
Next year will be full of challenges big and small but don't forget to look back at the last year and raise a glass to it (and maybe two fingers too!!!!)
Good luck with your 2011 planning - remember to plan in some fun too!!!!

I'm with you ladies on the weight loss wagon! I read something in a fitness magazine (that I read to gee myself into being fit
) that you shouldn't focus on what you look like now, but what you want to be. So I'm busy trying to visualise the new slimcia me in 2011

Just a quick note to say I spent most of the afternoon burning my filing! - obviously all the stuff I didn't need.It was fantastic fun. I feel loads better. Two bags gone, one pile being made in paper mache and one pile waiting to be shredded
There is more sorting to be done but I am actually getting somewhere!
