The plan for today is breakfast, face mask bath or shower then paperwork!
Its great cos I don't actually "have" to do anything!
I need to have a filling system for the post and for school work. I have one half worked out but also need to move furniture round for it work (don't ask!) and have a sore throat (again!) so I may just do the sorting and see how it goes.

Its funny, no Christmas wasn't great but i am so used to it being like that I don't feel so bad about it - a feeling of overwhelming relief that it is over is all that is left.

Next year, cos I will be driving I will be able to get out and go a visiting so will do that for starters and see if I can't wangle an invite somewhere for me and Mum or invite people here (although here is quite small!) on Boxing day.

    best get on with something

List of Challenges to be completed in 2011

    1. Virtual sealed pot - to be paid into each week - rounding my bank account down to the nearest tenner - aim £500 pounds by Nov 15th for present shopping. Current total £19.80 + 2.83(31/12/10)
    - counts for the January challenge for the Thrifty gifty challenge.

    2. Sealed pot - change to be put in each Friday, when it is full it will go on the loan(Or into savings if I am too slow!). 3/4 full.

    3. £365 in 365 days - to be saved for the sales in 2012 (or a holiday) - will be saved in pound coins and paid into my savings account with Barclays each month. But will have to be paid in to halifax first cos they are open on Saturdays hmm.

    4. £2 coin - save up 200 pounds to go on the loan. They will have to be paid in to the bank too otherwise I spend them.

    5. All 2ps and 1ps to be saved and paid into what I laughingly call the house fund! Its an old bank account from when I was a child it has a paying in book! Everyone starts some where!

    6. I need to e bay - have joined the !!!!!! Ebay make me money in 2011 or else thread, plus the first challenge in Jan is make £50 (thrifty Gifty again)

    7. And lose weight. LouiseJ and her amazing thread to the rescue!

    will be edited later xxx

  • doing nothing is SO boring.

I watched 6 hours of 24, ate more turkey and crackers for lunch and dinner.

    Didn't sort any files.

its 1 in the morning and I am not hugely tired. just restless. running figures round in my head. wondering if I can pay the CC off. its 1060 which is far higher then I thought, not massively surprised. been putting dinner out on it as well as all the Christmas shopping plus the left over of the fence/cooker malarky.

hmmmm. any how I reckon if I clear all my little savings accounts that i have as pots for birthdays and the like plus my Dec loan over payment I should be able to rustle up about 832..........plus the 90 pound refund 922. which means I would like to find 138 from some where.

January is going to be tight but also quiet. work will be tough too. so cheap nights out and no spending.

I would love that CC to be cleared by the end of Jan. I really would.

Great if you can do it but don't over stretch yourself. If you are needing to put your social life on CC then maybe your budget is not flexible enough?

  • My budget would be fine if I didn't get a little tipsy use the cc, promising myself to pay it off then forget all about it! Then wonder why there is "so much" money in my current account! and of course spend it!

Really if I was a bit more organised the whole CC thing would have never happened, that is why it is bugging me so much!

Today I voluntarily had muesli for breakfast so clearly the whole eating rubbish thing has go to me! I don't imagine it will last but it wasn't too bad.

    List

    1. Guinea pigs
    2. move work stuff down stairs
    3. move furniture around so I can use my desk.

If I do that I will make a new list.
