  • Thanks Gems xxx

First day of the New year not gone brilliantly! Got up fairly late, cleaned the bathroom and thought I would have an early lunch so I could
get on with things. No chance since period pains hit with a vengance and I have been doubled up or thankfully asleep since about 3.

Unfortunately my sister and her bf are visiting Mum so its not like I can get and go down stairs now. Well I can but it will be with sarky comments and patronising smiles. Still I have had worse and it looks awful if I don't go down and say hi. especially since I have just knocked my mobile phone on the floor and made a noise. !!!!!!

also they will be watching final score on Sky whereas I am a BBC fan. grrr.

right I am going to make a cup of tea downstairs get the comments out the way and hopefully continue to feel better.

What type of sarky comments Buffy? Parhaps today you could just swan downstairs, smile brightly and wish them both a Happy New Year. You dont have to feel like a stranger in your own home my friend, take control! I know you can!
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Sarky comments are always best deflected with a smile and a "oh were you talking to me" kind of attitude.

On a seperate note, stop suffering all this period pain each month and get to the Dr's!!!!

Buffy I used to suffer terribly with pp - where I'd literally pass out they were that bad. My friend is a nurse and told me to ask my Doctor for Ponstan - they do have another name - but they worked a treat.
As Pooky says - don't suffer, I wish I'd gone years ago. Take care x

My GP gave me ponstan too (Ponstan Forte - I think is the full name) when I suffered with PP and very heavy periods in my teenage years. I used to joke that they were horse pills but they did work in terms of dealing with the pain on the worst days. Before that, I had quite a lot of absence from school because of the pain.

Hope it goes so that you can enjoy the rest of the break.

  • It was crappy to be honest, I am never rude, always polite, smile, hug stop for a cup of tea. Makes no difference. Patronising comments were today's choice, and its not my home when they are here(although it was just my sister today). I can't go on about it tho, no point. It really won't change. I just have to focus on the things i can change, ie getting out of debt, saving for a house, making sure Mum is ok.
As for the periods, I was well pleased there was not migraine! makes me more convinced they are stress related.
I started sorting Sea, not got hugely far, one bit of my room looks nice but I will get back to it in a minute. Its funny how you can want change so badly and yet still allow things to stop you. I do wonder if sometimes I made a mistake being a teacher. Its such hard work and mostly these days to be completely honest I just cannot be bothered. so much of it is !!!!!!!!. I hope I can stick it out for another year.

    I shall continue sorting!

    see you later
