:grouphug: Buffy...it is understandable to feel cross with yourself when you are feelin down cos the rational part of you thinks you don't have it as bad as some people, but that doesn't make it any less hard to deal with.

    Therapy is a good idea...xxxx

But tonight do as Sally says and pamper yourself.

  • I just know most of my problems stem from not doing the work when I should. Yes I do work in a !!!!!! place but I need to be more on top of things.

I wouldn't survive half as well without you lot. thank you xxx

I do have a vaguely clean house(sheets, hoovered and washing, plus cleaned the bathroom whilst the bath filled - very flylady) and had a lovely evening with my friend. she is great company - we set the world to rights.

have to get up earlyish - well for a sunday. so shall go to bed.

    see you all soon

I just know most of my problems stem from not doing the work when I should. Yes I do work in a !!!!!! place but I need to be more on top of things. but if the work wasn't so !!!!!!, then you would be more inclined to keep on top of the work! It must be ridiculously hard to keep motivated, when your boss is a w*ssock, everyone is back stabbing, and even people you consider friends are so stressed out, that they lash out without thinking...So how about looking at it as being proud of yourself that you are only as far behind as you are, and that it will only take a little push to get on top of it again.

I wouldn't survive half as well without you lot. thank you xxx why thank you on behalf of your cheerleaders:j(imagine this one with pom poms:D)

Ref your health, if you don't go to the doctors I am going to get upset! It is not ok to be having migraines as often as you do. You can get medicine to STOP them! It is not normal to feel dizzy and breathless - this could be angine, asthma, blood pressure etc etc. And all of them get worse if you don't get them treated. Could also be diabetes - if you are carrying a bit of excess and also eating rubbish.......

You know that I wouldn't be this blunt if I didn't want to ram it home to you, that you need to take care of you.

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

  • House is looking better, ironing etc done.

really should go to bed. but feel a bit wired. Typically anxious about tomorrow. Ex contact was odd today. no lunch ready yet. no clue what to have don't fancy anything. five miserable days till a week's holiday. Honest to God I am aware that I sound like a baby.

15 minutes. I will finish my jobs.

  • That saying, I'd rather climb a moutain then crawl into a hole. Tonight I would rather crawl in to a hole.

I sorted out my jobs apart from lunch, I will buy something at the canteen. off to bed now.

its at times like this when I think I am cracking up! I have a meeting and a driving lesson tomorrow. then its back to marking. It just never ends. THat is what is so bloody hard.

any teachers out there with any advice? am doing ok with many other things in life, but I cannot get a bloody handle on this. And it means my job. that is why it causes such panic.

  • Marking? When i was in school full time, i have to say i did a lot of it there. I refused to take it home with me, so would sit in my classroom marking the lot before i went. It could mean i would leave later, but i was able to walk out of the door at night.

Planning i used to do on a Wednesday night, that way i could delegate work to assistants and this could all be sorted out by Friday night, for the week after- so photocopying done etc.

Also don't reinvent the wheel, if you are teaching the same year group then re use the plans. I notice you teach history- is it the new syllabus? If so have a meeting with the other teachers and split the planning it is bound to be wearing while all the resources are put together and everyone triple checks things.

Hope that helps. If not, then my next bit of advice would be to talk in confidence to the teacher stress line. xx
