Buffs.......Please go and talk to the GP and get some blood tests sorted....I wish I'd have gone sooner then I wouldn't have ended up in A&E having pints of stuff taken from every where imaginable.
Your body is telling you that it can't cope and it needs to rest and recharge......just think forwards to when you're driving your own car.....if your car kept breaking down every other day and was running on petrol fumes, would you keep driving it or would you take it to be sorted???? You get the chance to own as many cars as you can afford in a life time - you only get one body....listen to it!
Or else!

Planning i used to do on a Wednesday night, that way i could delegate work to assistants and this could all be sorted out by Friday night, for the week after- so photocopying done etc.
Also don't reinvent the wheel, if you are teaching the same year group then re use the plans. I notice you teach history- is it the new syllabus? If so have a meeting with the other teachers and split the planning it is bound to be wearing while all the resources are put together and everyone triple checks things.
Hope that helps. If not, then my next bit of advice would be to talk in confidence to the teacher stress line. xx
thank you Bob xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The planning we did last year but we have to shown personalised learning for pupils so although I use the same plan I have make resources/find resources for particular kids with particular needs and show this in my planning (endless !!!!!!!g paper frankly!). The thing with the planning done in dept is that it isn't very good - no pictures no extension tasks etc. so really I still plan on a saturday or monday for P/C
As for marking I am trying to do five sets of books a week as all books have to be marked every three weeks and I teach 16 groups. It is impossible with tutoring cos I don't finish sets. And I have course work to mark.
I can't honestly see another way - well I could give up the second job I suppose..........but I love that. And I need the money for debts and eventual house purchase. But I guess I have answered my own questions.
I just need to get on with it and stop feeling sorry for myself.
had a nice dinner and now to coursework. I am going to delete some of this later bit paranoid.

Having looked at my timetable I am trying to work out a way to manange 1/2 sets on the nights I do my second job. maybe after 1/2 term I would be caught up from now, I think it would work, it might just get a bit confusing....but in terms of work load more managable.... I was only trialing this system I honestly thought I would manage! but no, although in hindsight it is a bit much. And then one set on the weekend.
I really don't what to give up my second job.
really going this time!

Buffy, have you tried working out a timetable for yourself? I know it seems extreme but there's a lot of out of hours work involved with teaching so maybe it'll help your state of mind. And don't forget to schedule some you time too!No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

Yep the personal learning is a killer-ok when on a 1 to 1 basis. Do you have an ECM centre there? Could they put in a learning plan for those with needs- perhaps plan to take the children off timetable?
One other thing we used to do was plan nights together for planning and moderating, sorting out resources..it was an eye opener and so much more easier...well once we gave over natteringI think i was fortunate with my School. Anything i can help with re Special needs holler, i will sort some resources out for you if necessary.
Please also keep trialling your system and refining it, you will get there when the routine is established..xxBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Gems I have a timetable, I just have to keep fixing it till it works xxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -

Honestly we don't get on that well, there is such a lot of competition and well, back stabbing that sharing isn't on (hence why all the central resources are fairly basic) It is sad but it is the atmosphere we work in.
and there isn't huge amounts of sen support (they have been cut massively)
thank you tho and I will keep trialing!! eyes are goin funny

Ref your health, if you don't go to the doctors I am going to get upset! It is not ok to be having migraines as often as you do. You can get medicine to STOP them! It is not normal to feel dizzy and breathless - this could be angine, asthma, blood pressure etc etc. And all of them get worse if you don't get them treated. Could also be diabetes - if you are carrying a bit of excess and also eating rubbish.......
You know that I wouldn't be this blunt if I didn't want to ram it home to you, that you need to take care of you.

There's no harm in getting checked out as Chev says. But, (and I say this gently) I think your symptoms sound like the product of anxiety. Again, I speak from experience, when you are stressed, you hold your breath without realising, which makes you breathless, dizzy and have chest pains. Personally, I'd try drinking more water and yoga DVD before the Docs.
Maybe listening to some relaxation tapes before bed might ease things too?0
