Does anyone know if it is possible to pause recording briefly if, for example, the phone rings?

How are you all getting on? I forgot to go and pick up my webcam from Argos, so have reserved one and will collect Monday.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

I have just carried out my first test! Goodness knows if it was any good. I expect you get some sort of feedback?
If it works great! if not, it can hopefully only get better!0 -

I did my first last night and have had an email this morning saying that it has been accepted and I should be paid within 30 days.0 -

Hi afroscot.
You should hear within a few hours if your test has been accepted. If it has then you're doing everything right
If it fails, you'll get an email explaining why it failed and what you did incorrectly or need to improve on.
I'm sure you've done well though, so long as you do everything that the task asks, and they can see and hear you clearly you'll have passed

Hi guys,
Userlytics are now recruiting UK testers again, so I thought I'd post some info here in case anyone is interested.
I've been testing for Userlytics for a couple of months now, and it's a legit way to make some extra cash. Basically you're recorded (via your own webcam and mic) while testing out new or under development websites, recording any issues you encounter as you proceed through an assignment (eg search for a train ticket, book a hotel room in London on 26 Sep etc).
You need to be able to clearly describe what you're doing, how easy it is to carry out the task, how it's going and how you're finding the website etc (so it's not for everyone) but I've found it a really enjoyable way to make some extra cash. Each test you perform is reviewed and either passed or failed (failing is difficult if you do exactly as is asked).
Basically you earn around $10 (£6) per test (each test takes about 10 minutes), and are paid via PayPal on a monthly basis. I've had 2 payments so far, and have had no problems at all.
Tests-wise, the regularity of them vary. I earned about £24 in the 1st month and £54 so far this month, and as they're looking for new testers I'd imagine there will be many more opportunities to come (hopefully anyway!).
Anyway, I'm the first person to be skeptical of new opportunities, but they're advertising for new testers on the website so as I know it's legit I thought I'd share it. If you're interested, check the website out for yourselves and click on Become A Tester at the bottom of the main page.
By the way, I'm nothing to do with Userlytics (honest!), I'm just a tester, and have nothing to gain. I just thought some here may be interested in checking out this opportunity.

Hey i messed up my first one because I got flustered when I couldnt do what is was asking and didnt talk enough and someone walked in so it wasnt approved. This was for an easy jet one last Thursday and I havnt had one since, has anyone else had any other tests since this period and do I need to sign up again have I messed up my rating meaning I am no longer selected for them?Hello there, I am always open to the idea of making money. PM with suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :j0 -
I just joined this week and had a BA test. I mucked up too!!! They couldnt see my face properly. Apparantly a lighting problem.0

I wouldn't worry about making a mistake - I'm sure this won't stop you from trying again.
I just did one and it failed to upload. I did it again and it failed again! Very frustrating as presumably I won't get paid for my time. I have e-mailed them about it.
Does anyone know how the speech bubbles work? I try clicking on the icon and a bubble appears at the bottom of the screen but I don't seem able to type in it - anyone else have a problem or could tell me how it works?
Also, what do you do if you have finished but the clock is still ticking? Is there a way to end the recording?
Thanks,
Andrea0 -
I managed to write in the speach bubble. Right click to get it then click and write inside. To end you press the test button in top right corner then you get the option to stop and it then gives you some questions.
Hope that helps.0
