Userlytics is recruiting in the UK again.

Hi guys,
Userlytics are now recruiting UK testers again, so I thought I'd post some info here in case anyone is interested.
I've been testing for Userlytics for a couple of months now, and it's a legit way to make some extra cash. Basically you're recorded (via your own webcam and mic) while testing out new or under development websites, recording any issues you encounter as you proceed through an assignment (eg search for a train ticket, book a hotel room in London on 26 Sep etc).
You need to be able to clearly describe what you're doing, how easy it is to carry out the task, how it's going and how you're finding the website etc (so it's not for everyone) but I've found it a really enjoyable way to make some extra cash. Each test you perform is reviewed and either passed or failed (failing is difficult if you do exactly as is asked).
Basically you earn around $10 (£6) per test (each test takes about 10 minutes), and are paid via PayPal on a monthly basis. I've had 2 payments so far, and have had no problems at all.
Tests-wise, the regularity of them vary. I earned about £24 in the 1st month and £54 so far this month, and as they're looking for new testers I'd imagine there will be many more opportunities to come (hopefully anyway!).
Anyway, I'm the first person to be skeptical of new opportunities, but they're advertising for new testers on the website so as I know it's legit I thought I'd share it. If you're interested, check the website out for yourselves and click on Become A Tester at the bottom of the main page.
By the way, I'm nothing to do with Userlytics (honest!), I'm just a tester, and have nothing to gain. I just thought some here may be interested in checking out this opportunity.

Thank you, Paul, for making us aware of this opportunity to earn a little extra income. I did visit www(dot)userlytics(dot)com and clicked on the 'Become a Tester' link per your instructions. Now I await my first tester experience! Cheers, Misty.0

This sounds like quite an interesting job, is there a limit to the number of tests you can do?
What happens about payment, does it go to Paypal? I also assume that they are not PAYE and you would need to declare your earnings to HMRC?0 -
Hi Xorro,
There's no limit, but there aren't tests constantly available at all times. I normally log on each day to check if any are there, and you also usually get an email when one becomes available. You may have 2 or 3 in one day, then nothing at all for a few days.
You are paid once a month via PayPal, and I do declare it as part of my earnings, as potentially it could be a decent amount of money each month.
Up to now I've earned £54 this month, but I'd imagine some months will see more money, and some will see less. It's always nice to have a little extra money each month anyway.

ive got a laptop i think it has a digital livecam built in. No microphone though. Can you buy one and is it worth it?:footie:0

I think you need a microphone headset, I saw one in Asda today for £10 but no idea if you need a certain spec. Would be interested to know more.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

Hi Red Devil and Tiff.
At the moment I use the built in mic and web-cam on my laptop and both work fine.
The only rule on equipment is that when testing you need to be seen and heard absolutely clearly. If they can't hear you, or your face isn't clearly shown, then your test won't be deemed valid and you could miss out on a payment.
You can get a decent enough mic for £10-£20 on Amazon or some such website (or I'm sure the £10 one from Asda would be OK too). The way I look at it is if you pay £20 for a mic, after 4 tests it's been paid for and you'll start earning money for yourself.
I can't give any info on regularity of forthcoming tests because I'm just a tester myself, but I've completed 9 tests this month, so if next month's the same you'll make twice as much as you shelled out for a mic.
Hope that helps

Glad you've signed up Fortyniner, I'm sure you'll enjoy testing
There were 2 more tests posted last night, which was a nice unexpected extra £12, and took my month's Userlytics earnings to £64.
Hopefully September will be just as good if not better.

It says you need all these requirements - what does this one mean:
MacOS Leopard 10.5 or newer new
I have a Dell laptop with Windows and would need to by a webcam and headset0 -
I signed up yesterday and did my first test today - this looks like a really useful source of income, thanks for posting OP.
lyndsey, there are 2 download choices, one for microsoft and one for Apple Macs Leopard is on Apple (I think). If you are seeing the screen I think you are, then I think it means you have sucessfully downloaded the software for your computer, so that option disappears. You should be OK with your Dell.
Check your desktop and see if the Userlytics icon has appeared. My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead
