If from certain regions, the OP can probably expect a "visit" from her brothers if he doesn't keep her happy.
  • I'm a family of 3 and we spend about £150 a month, try shopping on line so you can see how much your spending, take pack lunches, freeze leftovers or use them the next day why do you need clothes every month? I earn 18k a year hubby earns 13k we struggle and have nothing left at the end of the month so I fill in on line surveys, I've just earned £90 so it went towards christmas try selling stuff on ebay its easy enough to do I paid for my cartax selling stuff we no longer used
Haircuts every month? try a local college or uni to be a ginea pig its loads cheaper, there supervised so don't make a mess

    Just a few ideas!!
Combi Boiler done and fire replaced Thanks for buying my stuff from ebay!! now its onto the holiday fund!!

I forgot my password so I have registered again. Of course Katya is not my real name and it is not important where I come from.

My husband and I will find a way forward.

You should know that of course he did not marry me just for my looks but it is normal that if I do not look good he could go elsewhere. I am sure of that.

It is a bit similar that a less rich man is less attractive to a woman. And a less beautiful woman is less attractive to a man.

Don't try to tell me otherwise, that is how life works, even though some people are idealist when they have theories.
  • Hi Katya

What are you going to do when the money runs out and there's none for beauty treatments!

Hmmm... so if I tell you otherwise, I'm being idealistic, even though my husband, whom I adore, earns very little at the moment. Equally, plenty of us seem to manage to be in relationships/get married without spending hundreds of pounds on ourselves every month.

By the sounds of what your husband has said, he would prefer you to actively look after your baby or get a job. You appear to do neither. How does getting a blackberry make you more beautiful?

If all you bring to the partnership is beauty, what will you do when there is no money (because you refused to stop spending when you could) or when you are old and wrinkly?

When my parents married, they didn't have two pennies to rub together....they celebrated 50 years of marriage this summer.

When I met my now ex husband, he was in a fairly low paying job and I was in an even lower paid one! Strangely, our divorce came at a time when he was earning way more than the average salary.

I had the chance last year to have a long term relationship with a very high earner, move into a lovely big house and all my problems to be over....I just couldn't as I didn't love him and it had only been a passing infatuation, which passed very quickly when I realised what a chauvinist he was (I may be female but I DO NOT like shopping, buying handbags, shoes and make up, spending days at the salon or being treated like the brain dead little woman he thought all woman were).

So no, money rarely comes into it....love does and money doesn't make them any more attractive.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
