Have just defrosted homemade twinks and put oven on to warm so I can bake the dough.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the spag bol and did some with mash for those who don't like pasta.

Have a big bowl of leftover bolognese to put in fridge for tomorrow once it cools. Might turn it into a lasagne for tomorrow.

Have peppers to use up so might add them to lasagne. DD just phoned so need to go.e

Just grated some fruit and nut chocolate and put it on top of twinks to see how it turns out.

I can tell it's an English bank holiday - the TV is carp! Hope all those who had a day off enjoyed it, just an ordinary day here. Went to work even though I felt terrible as we had a big job to do entering data into the system. Two of us worked from half nine to half two with just a 15 minute break to get it done! Will re-claim my lunch hour some other time.

Have taken my lawnmower to get the blade sharpened and get the grass box fixed - it spits out half the grass it cuts. The chap said if he tried to sharpen the blade there wont be enough metal left! Best get a new one then. After that DD and I washed a car each so they look better - one of her friends had written her name in the dirt on hers, shows how bad it was!

Anyway, got lots of washing dried again as IT HAS BEEN A FAB DAY HERE - BLUE SKIES AND LOADS OF SUNSHINE. Sorry, did I say that out loud?! I always line dry and/or hang on clothes horse, TD for emergencies only. I have had it for about a year and only used it twice. LO chicken and rice soup for lunch and tea (really enjoyed it and DS2 made a humungous pot full). Left over bean stew for DD and DS2, DS1 and GF gone back to their own flat - will have to start charging them!

Hugs to all who need one and those who would just like one. XX

    Back again

Thanks for the veggie recipes as will be catering for DS's GF at Xmas and she is veggie, she doesn't make a fuss about it, but want her to have something HM and different.

Had a nice walk around Bridlington, and then F&C at Audrey's. VG. We have decided to stay an extra night and miss the BH traffic, will go back lunchtime tomorrow. Our friends have had to go as he is at w*rk tommorrow. The weather has been improving all day, and had nice sunshine from 3pm onwards, and the wind has died down now. Enjoyed listening to the Top 100 Million Sellers on Radio 2 this afternoon, and Tony Blackburn, I listened to him starting up Radio 1 on 30th September 1967.:o

Glad you had a good holiday with the family Jackie-0

It's only a bargain if you were going to buy it anyway!
  • Flutterby, I made the lentil pie. It was lovely. Didn't bother with topping it with cheese though.
