A very quick good morning from me.

Used to use a TD for everything when working FT, now at home so can catch the dry weather, or put on CH in conservatory.

Just going for a walk around Bridlington, and maybe F&C :o

    Will post later.

((hugs)) especially to Jellybean & Friend

    Take care - DG

Good morning chums ,did a tiny wash this morning ,just the odds and ends like cotton jacket ect left over from my holidays and a couple of tee shirts that needed some stain remover on them .My dgs Mikey is a lovely little boy and I adore him, but he will cuddle me just after having chocolate ice cream:)
Its a nice blowy day though which is good I too don't own a TD and never have but have been lucky in that every house I have lived in over the past 45 years has had a decent washing line in the garden.Even in the winter as long as its not raining I will hang stuff out just for a blow more than anything.I love the smell of line-dried clothes, especially if I can get to iron them straight away.makes the house smell fresh as well.
My dds brother-in -law became a granddad last night with a little boy of 7lb 1 oz and mum and baby are both well,so I shall get my needles out and knock up a little blue cardi for him over the next few days .The Mum didn't want to know what the baby was going to be so I had been holding off for awhile. It will be nice to be knitting baby stuff again as my tribe are all past knitting for now.
Going to be a quiet Bank holiday for me as I am going to enjoy just pottering around for a few days, I love going on holiday ,but I also love coming back home IYSWIM and things getting back to normal again.
No shopping to get this week which is great as I have more than enough stuff to see me through.I also have a book I must read before I go back to college as I forgot to take it away with me so I have a bit of reading to do as well.
I hope everyone has a good day whatever they are doing
    Cheers JackieO x

    monring all,

sorry i haven't been, been a very stressful, teary week.
Today is the aniversary of our freinds so still teary eyed.
But in honour we all met up for a friday, which was good a well good laugh, saturday went to a fesival and mucked about with bikes. One of friends said "S" would have loved this. On Sunday we went to the rat race, where team "S" ran, i.e my OH and two friends. It was freezing, windy, wet and dust clouds flying everywhere but it was class.
I had a cry when my boys went on the unicycles, all good memerories.

So today were just chilling and relaxing, OH is shattered from all the running, swimming etc
((hugs)) especially to Jellybean & Friend
    hope your all okay x

right i'm off to get dress, just mad it in / out of the shower with no help so i'm well chuffed :D. Then hang out loads of washing and pray it dries. I don't have a tumble dryer so i just clothes outside, inside you name it its there.

Have a good day all x
  • Hugs to you kezlou, I have been thinking about you. XX

Well, walked over to the vets, mad crazy dog was grumbling all the way there, and moaning about not getting to go and sniff the other dogs and face up to them to show she wasn't scared (even though she was terrified, nutter!), and the vet was fab. She has antibiotics, she thinks there is a good change it is what I thought, but that the first line of treatment is antibiotics in case its just an allergy, and to go back in a week and they'll relook at it. If not, its a night in to get a skin scrape done and then weekly baths to treat it. Goodness knows what that will cost, so fingers crossed the antib's will do the job. £44 for my trouble :( I will need to check out the insurance and see what to do in case I need to make a claim for any more treatment. Off to Markies now to check out the chooks. See you later :D

  • Hi Everyone, thank you so much for all the hugs, they are so much appreciated. I just don't know what to do for my friend, I feel so helpless. Feel much better today. The weather here is random, that is the only way I can describe it, one minute it is glorious sunshine, the next black clouds!

We don't have a TD either but I must confess I love TD'd towels. Not much planned for today, hopefully I will fit some crafting in, and dig my work diary out of the loft as I have lost my normal one. Jackie g- hope you baby recovers quickly x x x
Hmmm will add up debt and stick on on later!

    Hi all.

Sistercas I always line dry if it's at all possible; if the weather is wet and there's not too much stuff, it goes on the A-frame over the bath. The only time I use the TD (it's a washer-dryer, btw) is if there's bedlinen to dry, as it's just too much to have that spread all over our tiny bungalow, or maybe towels or a load of Mr LW's shirts, but only if there's more washing than can happily go over the bath, iyswim.

Last night I put all my new work rotas in the diary and I'm working both Christmas day and boxing day:( but have new year off - the joys of my line of work;) The shifts are usually shortened so hopfully will get some time at home. Its usually very quiet as several of the service users go home for Christmas. Sorry for mentioning the C word;):D so early on !
LOL Just shows, we're all different. When I was working, I'd have given my eye teeth to be able to work Xmas and Boxing Day. I don't celebrate Xmas, and it seemed such a waste of time to be mooching around the house for two days for no good reason!

The best you can do for your friend is just be there for her. I can't imagine being in such a situation; you're obviously a very good friend, and I'm sure she will value just having you there. (((HUG)))

Jackieg I'm sending healing vibes for little Coco; I hope the anti-flybotics;) help her.

Kezlou (((HUGS))) trust me, it'll get easier over time; for a long while Mr LW and I couldn't think of our friend "C" without tearing up. The pain will diminish, and leave you with the memories, but give yourself time. Early days yet.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Made some cheese biscuits for DS - cut using a gingerbread man cutter - hope he likes them!! Have bunged them in the freezer for next week otherwise I know I'll eat them all :o.
Guttering cleaned out so I am just procrastinating about starting some more cooking - took me long enough to get the cheesy biscuits done as I was halfway through making them when H needed me to foot the ladder for him.......

Jelly - sorry to hear about your friends mum. Hugs to you all xx

NPM - Nice to see you posting xx

Kezlou - Hugs for you xx

Just so we are all clear, Oakham chickens aren't free range. They have a nicer life allegedly than other barn raised chooks but definitely not.

I spent money :o I didn't want to but I had to. Got lots of good food bargains though, like really nice mozarella BOGOF in Sainsbury's and pitta breads and other stuff which I could probably make at home :o

It is a scorcher here today, just thought you'd all like to know that :p
