I spent money
I didn't want to but I had to. Got lots of good food bargains though, like really nice mozarella BOGOF in Sainsbury's and pitta breads and other stuff which I could probably make at home

Thanks to Hardup Hester for today's thread - sorry I didn't have time to check in this morning.
The car's in the garage today for its MOT. I've not heard from them so am assuming there are no problem. Then I just have to tax it ...
Have been into town for something I decided not to buy (go me!) Have just put the DW on and may do a laundry later on if the last lot on the airer is dry. I know I should make the effort to hang it out as it's a beautiful day but don't have much enthusiasm for that at the moment. The Slow Cooker is making Butternut Squash Soup which smells delicious. Have done the menu plan for next week and the associated shopping list which I'll deal with while the flat's being cleaned tomorrow. Going to be studying the rest of the afternoon till the garage tell me to pick up the car.

Marchio - it was good but I much prefer the science museum. It was very busy but as it is so large it wasn't a problem.
(((hugs))) Kezlou, Jellybaby & anyone else who needs one.
JackieG - hope the antibiotics cure the problem.

Sorry not been about much......getting to the end of my tether with the whole autism/school hols thing but surviving:eek:;)
When I found a pigeon I reported it here, they got back to me the next day with a number for the owner, the owners are meant to come and collect it within 3 days I think, although my 'owner' never did, just asked if we could ring its neck
Its a lovely day here too

Hey everyone
Been busy enjoying the sunshine today! Got a couple of loads of washing out this morning, and weeded my plant pots out, then decided it was far too nice to be stuck around the house all day, and went to the pub for lunch with a friend
Was lovely, the pub's down by the river, so we sat outside and chatted, and he showed off his holiday photos, and we generally lazed around for a while, before deciding we both had things we should be doing lol. Made a batch of these Twinks hobnobs I keep hearing about this afternoon - that was definitely worth it! Anyone know if they'll freeze though?
Got a couple of bits of work on the go now, and the I'll be doing some bolognese for tea - which will then become half bolognese, half chilli, to put in the freezer. Should get tea tonight, plus another 4 portions out of it, so that'll save me some cooking effort either this week or next
Enjoy the rest of the long weekend!
Lucy
