Well done on your big reduction :T

I feel your pain with clothes shopping, I just really don't enjoy it which probably helps whilst I am trying to debt bust but I could really do with some new trousers and underwear. Good job OH has no problem with grey knickers :rotfl:.

£230 is quite a bit if you don't mind me saying :o but is that a 'normal' amount or just due to one off things? I can't really tell you how much I spend on 'personal' items as I just have a misc section on my spending diary which normally is snacks at work, fish bits etc. Probably averages about £130-£150 a month at the most. I do have presents in a seperate column though!

Hope you enjoyed your earlyish night :)

Result! A friend has just offered to help with choosing some clothes for me, all online of course. I'm not actually going to go in any shops!

I thought £230 was a bit high considering I'm debt busting, £70 was on books for work, £60 was on a holiday inn, £10 was on a hair cut. £15 was on a 40th birthday present for a work colleague. I'll investigate the rest!

I haven't managed that early night yet!
  • Hi yay on the payments imjusttrying to catch up as i can, feeling a tad raw with my recent cat loss so if i dont post much im ok im just trying to make happy "happy" again xx keep up the good work xx x

I'm really sorry to hear that, I'd be devastated if we lost our cat and she's not really ours. She lives down the road but has bed and breakfast at ours every night! Hope you're ok, thinking of you. x

How's your week going Rum Punch?

My little Godson who's 4 has now started school, he asked the teacher if he could have a sleep last week bless him!

    Hope your well x

I'm well thanks Woowoo. I have such a gorgeous class this year. 4 is so little, bless, they really need that sleep, goodness I know I do some days!

Have been just about reading but haven't much chance to post this week. It's a shame your friend's cancelled their plans with you at New Year, especially the timing. I'm sure you'll still have a fantastic time, Sauze d'Oulx is a great resort and you will meet people there.
  • Santander charge £5 for going overdrawn, my fault, should have checked that. It's free at 1st direct. £5 seems a bit steep for just one day.... last £5 they get from us though.

    Just £5? That's good!

Lloyds charge £10 for USING your agreed overdraft and about £20 a day or something stupid for going over that

I have decided all banks = robbing gits! Natwest charged me £5 last month as an unpaid item fee but I swear I put money in that account in time?!

Still no early night here either :(, at least it is almost the weekend! I would definately recommend a spending diary if you aren't already keeping one, it's so easy to forget the odd £5 here and there!

Sorry to hear about your cat Happy :( x

I AM A MONEY MAGNET, THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FOR ME AS WE SPEAK:pMIKES MOB, DFW NERD 1071, DFW LHS 132!MIRACLES HAPPEN I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. LBM 08£77240.69 Current outstanding total £36083.01 Paid so far = £41157.68
  • It will be lovely to have cleared the debt and let them pay us interest instead!

We had an agreed overdraft which is why I thought £5 was steep, but £10 is obscene!

Have wondered about a spending diary but I don't very often use cash, most shopping is on the card so I can usually track quite easily where it goes. Will review this months though just to see how I racked up £230.

An expensive night tonight though, £50 on an Engagement present (for a close friend), cards (a few birthdays, another engagement, anniversary), wrapping paper etc, £15 on other niece's birthday, still need to get her a book.

Bad news again tonight. Father in law back in hospital, I think it could be pneumonia again but will wait for update from the hospital.
