soappie we cancelled pet insurance for just that reason and started our own fund when we had Megan, they wanted £740 for her as she was 10. She never needed a thing bless her thankfully but it was just crazy money.
http://www.oldies.org.uk/?page_id=18 these people may be able to offer advice, the old guy third one along in the main pictures at the top is one I helped rehome :D GSD/Akita cross there is www.dogpages.org.uk too who might know a few. Another knowing you're made of stern stuff but a ((hug)) and hope that you find something soon.

Rach, please consider not doing any more days than you must. It's only 3.5 days but if you're not well don't do them please. Doctors are usually more than willing to issue sick notes for such conditions as you NEED rest.

    AnW'sMum ((hugs))

gratefulforhelp well done you, from someone who struggles to know the difference between a flower and a weed

Well I've had the laziest day ever and not even touched my assignment, oops! I did one washer load which is still on the line....just realised as I was typing so it can stay there. However a good day, DP had a better weekend at work so took us out for dinner as a treat which was nice. Seems daft a bit spare and we spend it but feel much happier for it which is priceless.

I've just realised something terrible.....DS1s uniforms will need IRONING every week...... oh no :( I hate ironing. I best save up for 5 shirts and 5 trousers so I only have to punish myself weekly.
One day I might be more organised...........

Have overdone it today, in agony now. Have been told off on the preg thread (rightly i guess) for overdoing it (i.e walking for 5 mins!), didn't realise how little I should actually be doing. I think I should probably have gone off sick before now but it's too late now and I will manage this week I'm sure.

not that im trying to be a stalker or anything ...im just a bit dense right now! ...but ...there's a preg thread?!!

  • well ..my day has been semi productive ..

I've done 4 lots of washing (all baby clothes ready for my little man when he comes) and gotta say I loved seeing the washing line filled up with ickle blue clothes ..can't say i've ever enjoyed doing washing before, doubt it will last!
Also, been shopping with my friend in Ikea (didnt buy anything), Costco (got cake -oops!), Asda Living (got a new maternity top as I've been living in the same 4 tops for weeks - not good!) and Tesco (washing powder).
Cooked for me, my dad, sister and 2 nieces
...and have sorted out 2 bags of random crap from the living room and what will be baby's room ready to take to the tip through the week.

Just sitting here now catching up on threads whilst also finishing off making a baby girl card for someone.

Hope i can continue to feel like i'm getting somewhere, it feels good but then again the idea of just laying down and sleeping all day sounds like it would be good too!

A trick I was told many years ago, was to gently saute an onion in butter a few minutes before the OH gets home. It buys you time even if you don't use it later! They smell something delicious and then are put in a good mood giving you time to rustle up some lovely stuff and THEN a cold platter... ;)

This is the funniest thing I have ever heard:rotfl:

I'm going for a series of HHCs today, as have a dreadful sore back and DD2's birthday party today, DH is off back to work so no help. Steady as she goes then!!

At 1.15 I have to return DD1's library books to the mobile library, and woe betide me if I forget, please throw fluffy mules.

    Morning All

Well after far too long a break I am back and love the fact that I have done yesterday's list :D:D

Well will not do the kitchen today as BF is sorting out some of the stuff that did not get done when I did the kitchen last year so will give it a god sort at the weekend once it is done.

May look at doing the bathroom as that does not take too long and have lots to do including taking the divorce papers to the solicitor.

hugs to all those that need it.

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
