I have just made some stuffed felt hearts and keyrings. I bought a new cushion pad from the charity shop for £1 to use as stuffing and I haven't even made a dent in it yet! Will last me ages. A lot more MSE than buying proper stuffing. HTH
Thank you for that. Will pop into the charity shops in town when I go tomorrow- worst comes to worst I will buy the cheapest cushion I can find in Asda and use that- still cheaper than stuffing as far as I can see!

Ooo I can't wait. Put my pjs on when I came back from my interview and am now wondering whether to get dressed and pop to town now :D

katiesmummy - hello, welcome to the thread. Dont worry about not being able to do much this year.......just think of all the stuff you can enjoy doing next year. I start around January and cover birthdays as well..........trouble is I always try and set a ''finish date'' like October.........never happens and I'm still messing about with things despite saying -''thats it till next year''.............lol:rotfl:

Can't believe its take me nearly all day to so ''sock jam''.............proper jam I'd understand but rolling up socks and stuffing them in a jar !! Not the same is it. My downfall was when I printed off the label and stuck the letters on saying 'sock jam' -letters looked all wrong, peeled them off and half the label came off  So had to print another and do it again.
Then trying to put a fabric topped on..........well, I put it on with elastic band to hold it in place 3 times and each time the elastic band pinged off and went where I don't know:eek: Now down to last surviving elastic band........it worked !!!!! Got topper on, found piece of raffia to tie round it and even manager to get the elastic band safely off:T

Had every intention of concocting a thicker curtain for our back door (got the material but its far too big and needs cutting to fit) and was going to try and make on of those fleece shawl/wraps out of one of the blankets OH has been buying me the last 3 years.............didn't do either:(
Oh well, weathermen say it'll get warmer tomorrow(they're having a laugh !) and then they say more snow next week so I'm hibernating............might even get done what I meant to today..........lol:rotfl:
Oh and need to re-wrap son and girlfriends pressies and mustn't forget little grandson !!
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Has anyone seen something similar to this on their travels round craft sites?

I really want to have a go at altering one of these but don't want to spend a fortune on one!

IKEA sell them, in two different sizes - not sure how much they are but don't think they were to expensive.

    :)

Argggh I don't live anywhere near an Ikea :(
No Home Bargains, no Poundland, No Wilko, no Lidl- I think I need to move!

I don't suppose you have an idea of what they are called in Ikea do you? If delivery isn't too expensive I may order one :)
ETA I have a copy of the latest Ikea Catalog and I can't find them anywhere :(

julie - love the diaries and its a nice idea to personalize them with the name -wish I'd thought of that...........(memo to self - make note for next year)

At last.............curtain for back door done :T Taken nearly all day as it had to be done by hand so that was two length seams, then had to add a piece on as it was too short so thats another bit -added some tape to cover up the join..............poor fingers are aching............ Haven't hung it yet so still have the hem to do but that won't be so bad........would have done it today but to be honest I was getting just a bit sick of looking at it.
Didn't realise it would take that long so still have re-wrapping of sons stuff to do, cover hexagonal box, wrap grandsons stuff.............oh and mustn't forget bits for OH................still to get stuff for the lad we look after.............. Oh and attempt to make a fleece wrap............lol
More snow forecast so I'll have to send OH on a mission with a list of what I want............lol
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
