midnight -(stalking you again.........lol:rotfl:)
What a lovely idea...........closest I've ever got to that was doing felt snowmen/elephant with santa hat and santa claus on pillowcases for my two sons and OH when I first met him. (my sons were much younger then).
Now there's a red pillowcase that goes to my friend every christmas full of ''goodies'' and she gives it me back ready for the next year.
Really ought to do something similar for little grandson............his pressies tend to be weird shapes a lot of the time, plus there's the excitement of the 'lucky dip' into the bag
(makes note on ever growing shopping list -red pillowcase and felt)I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Help Please
Looking for best place to get a "Handmade by" stamp
Hiya - several of us on the cardmaking thread have ordered from this seller. They are really good and send out the stamp very quickly. At the moment they don't have many listed but keep a look out. If you see one you want done slightly differently they are very helpful and accomodating. The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -

Just want to say i have been lurking on this board (and the old style prep for christmas board) and i am so excited by all the things i want to do and make! I have started a craft box which is already looking good with freebies and things garnered from different places. And at the weekend i tried my hand at my first ever batch of fudge! Which didn't come out too badly! :-)
Breaking my lurkerdom because i wanted to share my love of Origami Boxes with everyone! Especially since finding the really snazzy square paper designs on one of the online pound craft shops! You can use any paper, as lond as its cut in a square and i have had really good results with old pages from books, wrapping paper and all sorts!
http://www.origami-instructions.com/origami-box.html i like this version for the examples at the bottom of the page :-)
http://www.ehow.com/how_2109536_fold-origami-box-lid.html and this one for the paper they use!
There is an even simpler version that uses scissors but i can't find the instructions! Doh!
I am going to use this to make a 25 day advent calender by putting loads of little boxes under a little tree for DS (OH is getting the envelopes strung along some ribbon. :-) Also making slightly bigger boxes for actual gifts.
Can anyone help me by thinking of things i could put in the boxes for DS, so far i have sweets, lego and jokes. Anything anyone else can think of? (Hes a typical 12 year old boy)
Keep up the good work ladies and gents!0 -

Crafting goodies
Pink spot blanket £1, have yet to attempt a nappy cake but thought i could try a pamper one for a xmas pressie, I have a square cake base that has one piece of cake left on it , will just have to make a cup of tea so I can try it for size. so nappy cakes are kept in place with the nappies , what do you use in a pamper cake to retain the shape, can make with a towel I suppose, actually do you think the towel would work inside and then out products on top and blanket areound the side???
Gold Shred for Bags of Gold £1
Stamping book 10p
2 packs of sequins one in tubs and another huge pack, £1 each. These are for my DD1 craft hamper/box I really wanted these for the small tubes to keep them all together and just refill as needed
Acrylic paints 12 x 2 99p each and 2 packs of 2 £1 each. I am going to be painting both kids rooms over the next week or two and have 1.5 huge tubs of Magnolia emulsion that I wanted to tint, someone on another forum said these would do the job. Wanting to achieve a pink and maybe a lilac shade.
Matrix Picture 80p Stocking filler for OH , Loved the Matrix, think he secretly had a thing for Trinity.
yeah fixed it , it had changed in the settings0 -
