  • the dress was made from very wide ribbon

OH WOW!!! I want one!! :D
Shame delivery is almost as much as the item :(

This looks amazing! Bought a 4 set of star cutters from morrisons the other day so maybe I could do a mini version for hampers and even use green icing? Or maybe green is a bit much! These threads are addictive and you are all so clever! I now have a list as long as my arm of things to make! Question is who do I give them to? :rotfl:

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all the wonderful ideas on this thread! I've read it through with great interest and have even had a go at a few sock monkeys although they are not quite up to the standard needed for me to use as gifts - think my children will be getting them! I'm also about to make my own mincemeat and have loads more ideas so now I just need the time to do them all. Snowman soup is going to be ideal gift for us to give to lots of people too this year from teachers to nephews/neices.

midnight - just adore your gingerbread folk and gonna have to have a go at them........fingers crossed............:rotfl:

    pootle..............brilliant fat cat..........:T

It all makes my ''todays attempt'' a bit 'blue peter'.............lol
I'd got an old placemat I didn;t get to re-vamp last year(one of the cork backed ones) so I set to this morning with double sided sticky tape, other glue, paper, retro notepad I'm 'recycling from last years pressies and one of my pegs.......covered the placemat with paper (when I eventually found some that fitted and went with the colour of the notepad), stuck notepad on one side and peg on the other with some odd bite of paper in it. I'd got some multicoloured stick on letters and put ''shopping'' on the top. And that was my days work.............lol:rotfl: Still, looks ok and even OH liked it (or was he humouring me..............lol)

    you cant be "blue petery"
there was no washing up liquid bottle/toilet roll tubes or sticky back plastic involved:rotfl:
    there was ALWAYS those involved!!

i made a famuly of GBs today, no loops, i may make more and make a garland type thing
and i have decided men are boring
you can pretty up the ladies much more:rotfl:
and we have had a baby

midnight - doesn't double sided sticky tape count as sticky backed plastic ??..............lol:rotfl:

Thinking I must rummage through my felt box and see what I've got...........should have enough free fabric samples to make a skirt of somesort for gingerbread lady.............(OH has just laughed...........lol:rotfl:)
