SeaBee they look fab, I'd love any of them as a gift. really like the christmas pudding truffles, may just have to steal that idea.

Believe it or not I was looking at that cookie cutter earlier and was thinking of making it for boxing day, I always have all my mums sisters and relatives that are over from Italy round and instead of dinner I normally do a buffett and I though this would be ideal as a table centrepiece, maybe with some ediible glitter sprinkled on top. How easy was it to do??

Thanks Nicola, the pudding truffles were Nigellas they are very rich, you certainly don't need many!

I've coveted the cookie cutter for a couple of years now, so thought I would treat myself to it (I'm worth it, lol!) I haven't made the cookies yet, but I'm going to do a trial run soon. There is a recipe on the box. Debating on whether to use run out icing or just roll out icing cut using the cutters - will do both when I experiment and see which comes out best. Loving the idea of the centre piece, though not sure if it would last that long with my DH around! :rotfl:

Who if like mine, will pull out the bottom one and dismantle the whole thing!! :o

OH WOW!!! I want one!! :D
Shame delivery is almost as much as the item :(
  • do you make 2 of each size?
there are more biscuits/layers than cutters
so would the 6 cutter set not work if you made 2 of each
would be smaller, but 2 would make impressive table pieces, one either end
  • if these are made with shortbread type biscuit
why not make templates out of card and cut around them with a sharp knife
bit of faffing to get the grades right, but wont take long to cut the biscuits
and so much cheaper than buying them

Also was going to buy these seen them on QVC a while ago and they are just what I'm looking for for my daughter but having read the revies on QVC they seem not ot be so great , has anyone got them?

My friend bought me a similar icing set for Christmas last year and I have to admit to them being stuck in the cupboard :o the squeezy bit fills with air and pops the nozzles off when I try to ice anything - I find good old fashioned piping bags (using the nozzles from that set, mind!) much easier to work with.

Hi everyone, hope you're all ok, ive been busy the past couple of days but have managed to make some baubles :)

MrsTine It sounds like you've been busy crafting! Ive been thinking about buying a soap making kit too, thought it would be safer than just randomly trying :D

B]youngold[/B] Your homemade food hampers sound lovely :) And just read about some of the homemade gifts you have sent and I think its lovely how much people appreciate them. The favour box idea is great too. Also congratulations on your upcoming wedding :) We're also hoping to get married in summer 2012 :T but we have nothing booked, just trying to save a little at the moment and will only have a small wedding

nicola00 I understand what you mean about your friend and the cookies. I'd love to receive a homemade gift, you just know how much thought, care and love has gone into it. And great news about the wins on some of the scratch cards :j
That table centre piece looks fantastic too, id love to try that one year

    Seabee your gifts look gorgeous

Ive decided when I get some time I need to start doing a blog (that i keep up to date) and follow all of yours :)

Oh I might just get these, they have some other bits and bobs I fancy too. Need to see how much I make on Ebay this weekend, got listings finishing Fri, Sat and Sun night. Every penny made is going to be spent on crafting goodies for my daughter for Birthday and Christmas ( filling a huge box with as much as I can , I'm going to wrap it in cello and bows etc... she loves helping me do this for presents so thought it was time she got one herself) technically these are crafting goodies and she will be using them :rotfl:
