Y'know what, my sister and I never had any sort of presents on Christmas Eve. A lot of my friends would get new PJ's to wear for the next morning or something but we got nothing. Reading about your Christmas Eve hampers - I'm feeling quite deprived! :rotfl: They all sound wonderful!0

I just wanted to say I found and watched Kirsties Homemade Christmas on YouTube and have written down what I need to do for the bead and ribbon decs. So MANY, MANY THANKS again gingerandrubarb:T:T:T
Can't wait to get started on them:D0 -
i never had any presents on christmas eve as a child either
i was spoiled rotten on christmas day, i'm an only child
but we make a big thing of christmas eve
always have
from a lush breakfast, all the way though
to the hampers in the evening
then watching films & playing games
(and eating of course:D)
christmas eve is our day
you need to share christmas with everyone else
so we are selfish with that day0 -

in fact when i ask them about last christmas they can remember everything from the hamper - including the actually box, but they dont remember what gifts they got on the day!
crafty things to go in the xmas eve hamper this year are
*cookie mix in a jar
*magic reindeer food for them to scatter - they loved making the garden all glittery in the dark!
*sock monkeys
*santa key - might make one myself from salt dough to have it there for them or leave the ingrediants in a jar in the hamper for them to make one themselves? if i let them do it, theyll argue
mind, i could always have one make a key for the back door and one for the front incase santa doesnt know which way to come in
*snowman soup
*chocolate - which i will mould into their xmas shapes
will also add
*new pjs
*new fleeces for their beds (last year it was shaped pillows)
*bath products - character bubble baths, body washes and bath mitts/flannels
*a xmassy dvd
*new cups
*book for bedtime
*santas plate and glass
*colouring books and pencils
I have to sacrifice some of my bits for the xmas eve hamper as i'm doing the elf this year and he will be bringing the xmassy dvd and also a banana phone for my eldest because she drove me mad with the banana phone song, but that's another story lol :rotfl:Man who run into airport turn-styles is going to Bangkok

I didn't either, but now my mum has picked up the tradition for her, my dad and my grandad! It's probably why i go mad with mine!Man who run into airport turn-styles is going to Bangkok
