Hi, first time I'm really going to be having a go at this. Has to include everything. 2 large dogs, 3 adults and 2 starving boys!!! As well as my Christmas cooking - I've started buying little bits. Please could you put me down for

    £400

Sounds mad, but I have no idea what we've spent in the past - frightening really. Should be OK, but will keep a tally in my signature.
    Thanks xx
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

I've been away from the challenge for a few months, but feel I need to join in again:o - can you put me down for £397.75 please? I know it's a strange amount...but that's just how it's worked out this month. This is for 2 adults, 3 children and includes packed lunches for all, contact lens solutions and all cleaning products.

My challenge started on 25th August and runs until 28th September. Have already done a big (ish) shop, got my contact lens solutions, washing powder etc....and have spent £129.51.....

Oh well...will certainly be a challenge!!

    Morning peeps

welcome to all the newbies joining us, you`ll love it here - very inspirational :D

Well i`ve found all my bits of paper and my challenge runs from August 28th to September 30th this time around, afterwards it will then run 4 weekly to follow my pay dates for a while. It may mean that i`m a bit in front or behind with some of the challenges but if that annoys me too much then i shall divide my budget into days and the amount will vary depending on how many days are in a month IYKWIM :D

Right i`m off to mealplan, good luck everyone :D

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

    Hi everyone,
When we were saving for our 1st property I was on here alot and saved loads of money with helpful tips and inspiration.
Since we bought the place we have both relaxed too much on the spending front, as the 'need' to save has reduced. Also we acquired a cat a year and a half ago so our little family has grown... We used to spend 130ish a month but now need to allow more due to him and also living further out to keep enough in stock.
Soooo I want to get back to being good and spending less on shopping / cooking more!
Now Autumn is on the horizon I plan to get the slow cooker out and actually use it to save cash.

Please can I be put down for £160 for September thank you

    Good morning.

Well after 2 months of hell with no kitchen, and my niece staying from Ireland for 5 weeks (a vegetarian that wasn't keen on vegetables), I'm now more or less back to normal, and ready to join the challenge again.

I have budgeted £35 a week for September, which gives me a total of £175 for the month please.

I'm now a SAHM, so hopefully I will have a bit more time to be creative in the kitchen, lol.
