I only made the suggestion because I have experienced a number of staff, in different stores, lying through their teeth about the wording on the posters and shelf talkers. E.g., they have said over the phone to Dundee that the shelf talker said "Save £20 off the game" when it said no such thing.

If they're capable of lying about this, I wonder what else they're capable of lying about.

Ok I think the XBOX and GOTW Just Cause is now sorted.
Poster up but discount applied correctly.
Had one of those "haven't got enough cash moments"

Just to inform you guys - there are different servers which fund different types of stores in the Tesco portfolio of stores hence the same misprice in an Extra store may not be available in an Express store. Perhaps if you wish to include the type of store, then forearmed is forewarned.

i've just been called back from a store after getting one of these at the weekend claiming there was no overcharge as it was only on the live console (white box) not the core (green box) which I bought, is there any credence to this do you think?

Just been to my store in horsham, sussex

the blasted deduction has been applied now so no free stuff for me (the poster was stil up too)

it was a regular sized tesco if that helps anyone

jordylass lots of stores removed the premium packs I found as the SEL described it as xbox360 console the core pack was xbox360 core system the poster and large sel said xbox360 console and the can get out of it that way as trading standards will let them get away with it I found out. I had a battle with a CS person yesterday and that was her argument that I didnt buy an xbox 360 console as per the poster description.

I didnt really want the core pack so I took a refund and the schools vouchers and the 5p fuel voucher and went to the next closest store on tom tom.

I have noticed that the PSP and DS GOTW special offer is written like

"Buy a PSP or DS console with the game of the week and get a £10 off".

Quite often the poster will show the games of the week, but not mention getting £10 off when bought with the correct console. What is to stop you buying a PSP with a DS GOTW or a DS with a PSP GOTW. This is still sticking by the offer. There are plenty of people around who may already own the other console and prefer the GOTW for that one.

What do other MSE's think. I haven't tried it, but it may give CS an option to get out of the deal, even though you are sticking by it.

my bf just rang HO, they transfer him to Kevin Kelly. But he said he need to find out what is happening and check if my bf is lying, of cos he is not!! And said he will give him a bell later.... finger cross!
