  • Ok, I have a problem with the old £20.00 off a phone. HO are dealing with it and apparently I can only speak to the girl that I spoke to. She was spose to call back yesterday before 2 but never did. I called today and the girl didn't start work till 6pm, gave them my home number and asked for her to call me on this number, and never thought anymore about it. 6.30 tonight no call so I thought that I would call them HO closes at 6 so how do I sort this out, This is now driving me mad. Just wondered if anyone has a name at HO that is dealing with the phone, or shall I just email them.

Seriously, most staff in Tesco have no clue what an Xbox 360 is. They do believe there's another console called Xbox 306!

It's a stark example of what happens when one huge retailer starts selling everything under the sun, and all the specialist retailers die out. God help us when Tesco start selling cars and houses one day.

  • They kept me in that store for over 2 hours in the end.

You are a braver man than I.

I cannot believe this type of intimidation actually goes on.

What store was this.... or which part of the country?

    Put it in writing.

I'd rather not say which store or whereabouts it is, to be honest. They may have felt they were intimidating me, but I was far from intimidated. Bulldog got back just as many evil glances as she gave out. For every smarmy comment, she got a smart and smarmier comment back. I found it hilarious that the Store Manager had to call on a lower grade manager for support. I even laughed in his face when he said the store didn't have a photocopier.

How do you find possible R&R's? Surely you don't write down the prices of the SEL's of everything you put in your trolley and then stand and check your list against your receipt once you've checked-out...?

Yup. if you write a shopping list, instead of ticking off items, I simply write the price. takes about 5 minutes to check a £60 shop now! Always find at least 1 a fortnight.

Also, am gutted...just seen the annuals discount on main thread. i bought a Noddy one today and was contemplating a Bob the builder one too, but decided not to. Looks like I should have done and got them both free:rotfl:

I know a couple of stores with nasty bulldogs on the CS desks. It always amazes me that they were given a job in customer relations when they'd be so much better suited to guarding the warehouses at night.

Oh, she wasn't a CS assistant. She was a manager. The store manager went and got her for back up. She was stock control manager, I think.
