I've just had a thought do the clubcard points get taken away from you when you get a refund from HO ? so using a clubcard plus would give about 700 point ? and I believe they are worth 3p so £21 ? :rotfl:

I think I've just answered this myself. Thanks

Tried a phone with voucher tonight, the discount didn't come off (big poster was still up) guy at CS desk had a look at the poster and went to find a manager, he came back with 2 managers and all 4 of use checked the poster. They tried to claim that that all I should get is a £20 refund, I asked about the 'price policy', the manager(s) told the CS guy to ring HO. He did but they were closed. Took the phone home and will ring HO/CS myself tomorrow. If they still refuse the R&R will I be able to get a refund on the air time voucher ?

The poster was still up btw, even after 3 staff (inc 2 'managers') had looked at it.

    I'm bloody fuming .
I called CS today, they rang me back and told me they had called the store and instructed them to issue the full R&R. I went to the store after work and asked for the guy CS had told me would issue the R&R. He started to issue the refund but had a problem and went to speak to another member of staff. He came back 5 mins later and told me that his manager had told him to not issue the refund. I called CS and they (again) told the store to issue the full R&R. The guy in the store couldn't/wouldn't as his manager had told him not too. At this point I'd been in the store 45 mins, I tried to call CS again but it was after 6 and they had closed. I asked to speak to the store manager, he came down and I told him the whole story, he said he couldn't issue the full refund unless he spoke to CS himself and could I return to the store tomorrow.

I'm going to ring CS myself tomorrow @ 9.00 (do they open earlier ?) and kick up a right fuss, the store has been told twice to issue the R&R but still refused.

Funny thing is, while I was waiting for the manager another customer was waiting because she'd been overcharged on a case of beer, I made damm sure I informed her of the R&R policy :D

Edit - Whats the name of the best person @ CS to speak to about this ?
  • Thank you old bag. I have been reading the forums for a while (came here through bank charges which Ive started to claim back!!!) and am really intrigued with the tesco threads. I am a regular shopper in tesco and have never checked my receipt. I intend to in the future, and who knows maybe I will become an R&R'r.:o
They took my signature away!!!!
  • I just thought I would share what a cr*ppy day I've had......I'm sure it will be theraputic for me.
Chunky kit-kat and Aero, 3 for 89p - thanks to op. Yes was overcharged, but cs (hitler in a skirt) said it was 3 of the same. I pointed out the poster doesn't say that....which she couldn't deny. Then said ok I will have 3 aero, and she said that aero was not in on the offer anyway - white sel said 36p not 35p one of yellow posters had on it. But poster clearly said Aero, so I said, ok, I will have 3 of the aero that are in on the offer - of course she couldn't find any, but still refused R&R, so got refund.
Felix pouches full price 2.98, on offer 2.24, but not 'senior' packs.
Overcharged, but same cs said this one not included in the offer - again I pointed out the poster didn't say that. Only price anywhere near was the 2.24, so I said well how much is it then.....she pointed to a £3.xx sel further down the aisle and said "look, thats the price". "Strange" says I "Because I have been charged £2.98 !"
She still refused the R&R, and didn't think it was worth getting myself an even HIGHER profile by asking for a manger, for £4 worth of stuff.
But I am now even MORE determined to get justice !!
I have the patience, and the time, and now the incentive....I will be back !
  • I had flicked in and out of the board but I had never really found anything. Then I read the whole of the old thread from the beginning and it all sunk into place.

Started this week and so far my R&R receipts come to £635.70. Whats great is its stuff that I actually wanted but I just could not afford!!!
We took on Mr T and we won:D

Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now

May I offer some advice, don't fume! There is no need, you WILL get your replacement whether the manager likes it or not, do suggest to cs tomorrow that you are maybe due some shopping vouchers as a gesture over and above your refund and replace to compensate for the stores stubborness and obvious ambition to deter you.

You could even suggest they post you one or even direct you to another store with more co-operative staff to collect it.

  • Was in my local extra tonight and noticed that they still have the £10 off psp or ds console with the gotw SEL (not the poster), have Tesco sorted this one out yet or is it still ripe for the pickin'? I noticed they had a black psp too (£149ish)
  • QUOTE=arushofblood]Picked up the Tears for Fears CD, R&R no probs. Theirs two sorts on the shelp, you need the 'remixed' version @12.?? Now, to keep it, give it away or sell it :D[/QUOTE]

Is this in the charts ?
My store have chart cd's in one area, then non-chart in another, than a third area with all the compilations and remixes etc, so it takes AGES to check them all out....couldn't find any TFF cds anywhere in 2 stores today, so don't know if I'm looking in the wrong place
