If the black PSP (£149) has a white SEL, it shouldn't take the discount off. Same applies to the white Value Pack at £179.99. Worth a shot, anyway. If all else fails (discount comes off), just say it was an impulse buy and you've changed your mind. If the discount doesn't come off, you'll get the PSP and game for free (you might need to ring CS, but they will side with you on this).

I saw Twocoats post so had a look at phones today and sure enough poster was up stating that there was £20 off a phone if you bought £20 of airtime. It didn't come off and the manager said that I could only have the £20 of airtime refunded. I argued that as the poster said it was off the handset I should have the phone for free. He also said that as the poster stated that the offer ended on the 17th Sept he didn't have to give me anything. I asked him to photocopy the poster and will take it up with someone else on Monday. Who do I contact?

I had a bonus shopping trip today (doesnt compare to the savings and freebies you all are getting but im still grinning about it now !!)


Went shopping with OH and as usual he went off to get the shopping we actually need and I went for a girly browse , found some make-up that was on a 2 for 3 offer and after about 10mins debating with myself as to if i could justify it, i picked out my 3 items and headed for the till. As you can guess i was charged full price so i went and re-read the offer which stated in big letters "3 for 2 on ALL eye products"

Eventually after much debating about the POS not working I was finally served at the CS desk, she toddled off to check, returned saying "yes quite clearly states on all eye products i will just inform my manager" She then came back and said no its on winter eye products only
I then spoke to her manager and returned to the shelf to find the cheeky !!!!!! had removed part of the merchandising that was hiding the whats included list !!!! :eek: I pointed this out to be rather abruptly told "well im giving you a refund anyway " :mad:


Anyway it wasnt till the trip home that i realised she had refunded the cost of all 3 items :j :j Made up for the smug look on the managers face !

0800505555 (CS in Dundee). If you get someone who's a bit of a git, ring back again until you get someone who agrees with you.

I think I must be missing something here but that's exactly what you should have had given the scenario above.

Yes, I noticed that too. Either they're confusing the Xbox with a car made by Peugeot or the guy who designs the posters has got numerical dyslexia. For a company the size of Tesco it's amazing that nobody spotted an error like that before it went to print.

I wonder how long until a manager tries to use that to refuse an R+R... I can just imagine it... "Ah, you bought the Xbox 360, but as the poster clearly states, the discount is on the Xbox 306 which is a completely different games console".

Ohhhh...it's saying that again, is it? Saw that in the last week of August, too. I even asked a store if I could buy the 306. In fact, in the one store where I tried to buy a 360, they claimed I'd bought the wrong console, as the POS said xbox 306. I ended up walking away from that store without my Xbox, but not because of that. Sodding CS backed them up when they said the discount was on the game only (3 different people!!). I couldn't walk out with the Xbox to come back another day, as this particular store was a long way from home.
