Been reading these Tesco threads for ages now but have never laughed so hard as I have reading this whole console fiasco! :rotfl: well done to everyone who picked up a nice early xmas freebie

There was something I wanted to ask, if you use the self serve checkouts (never done it before) and the discount is applied, can you just cancel the item and put it back on the shelf? to avoid the whole "oops, now what was my pin number again  " situation if you deal with an actual person (all be it, possibly a student with as much personality as the self serve machines anyway :p )

doesn't sound like there is much hope of still being able to find one, and I have never done an R&R before but as I'm going in to the city tomorrow anyway......who wouldn't like a free PSP :o

    Thanks.

if you scan an item and then want to cancel it I'm pretty sure a cs person who oversees the selfscan has to come over and cancel it.
  • you can ask for refunds in points?

    from online shopping yes.
  • yes....

i meant I finally "got it".... the penny dropped!

    Thank you!

Thanks for putting that straight...I didnt quite understand your post and thought you were having a "dig"

thanks a lot fluffybunny  guess it's just best to use the usual checkout then.

Considering this thread is almost always on top of the grabbit forum it amazes me how many people come on with the initial post of
"I've never seen this thread before but......"

bassman are you serious or winding us up? The post simply meant that a particular store had an out-of-date POS on display (in other words, according to that store Brain Training - or whatever - was the GOTW, but the till knew better for once!).

I dont think he meant that at all.....i suggest you go back and re read the OP.....I certainly will...

Can we have some more jokes now please like last night? I laughed my socks off over the 'beard' joke last night (Kondormid you are a star).

Just to keep this on topic, just to tell all of you to keep your eyes peeled for out-of-date yellow stickers on DVDs '3 for £15' (expired 24.9 I think). It's the group of DVDs that Meet the Fockers was a part of recently, I found a DVD that scanned at £15.99 today, by chance, so got all 3 of my DVDs - stickered with this offer - free (posted it just now on the misprices thread).

:T Didn't ever get any selection boxes but have bagged a fair few books/DVDs/annuals/PS2 game and a PS2 recently. Roll on Christmas! :D
