dobbadobbs wrote:After endless reading i am still not sure whether i'm eligible for an r and r.
i've just been in my local tesco to notice 'just cause' is the game of the week on 360 - and the offer still stands on the shelf in a yellow border stating that its 20 off a console when bought with game of the week, expiry date 28th sept.
my question is - do i take the console through the checkout - if it shows no discount - take it to customer services and give them the consumer protection act speal?
does anyone know if this deal is eligible without me going through checkout?
many thanks in advance, apologies, as the penny hasn't quite dropped yet.
Let them take you to the offer sign....and wait for what they offer, if they give you a full refund....great,
if they offer you a refund on the game, then you have to tell them that it says £20 off the Xbox....and as its a combined package...you should under the policy on the blue board have a full refund...
if they refuse, ask to phone HO, using their phone, Tell your story, and you should get a full RnR......0 -

bassman are you serious or winding us up? The post simply meant that a particular store had an out-of-date POS on display (in other words, according to that store Brain Training - or whatever - was the GOTW, but the till knew better for once!).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

When I phoned up HO the conversation went like this:
HO - Tesco customer service, how can I help?
ME - Hi, Ive just purchased a sony psp with the game of the week and the £10 discount hasnt applied to my receipt.
HO - Im sorry to hear that, were getting a lot of these at the moment along with the xbox and ds. We have two members of staff purly dealing with this. Please hold the line and I will transfer you call.
Staff - Hi, my name is XXX, how can I help?
Me - Hi, just purchased a sony psp with tekken from your XXX store and the £10 discount advertised hasnt been applied.
Staff - The xxx store, right. Can you email me a copy of your receipt and I will investigate this and get back to you.
Me - Certainly
Staff - My email address is XXX@tesco.co.uk - Just email the receipt and I will be in touch
Me - Thank you , I will send that off you you now.
Personally, I couldnt beleive how easy the conversation was. I was also shocked that tesco had two members of staff at HO just dealing with the console deal refunds.
I wasnt asked at any point if I had taken the item back to the store.0 -

Call customer service (NOT THE LOCAL STORE) and relate the tale to them once finished end with, "what can you do about this?" sit back and see what offer they come up with, I'd be looking for my order to be delivered at a specific time and date, with no delivery charge and some gift tokens for my inconvenience, I would say not less than fifteen pounds irrespective of how small your order may be.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -

As for no chance, last scenario for me of this nature resulted in £20 card for a £17.00 order, over to you.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -

From experience, I wouldn't have any food delivered by home shopping of any major supermarket.
re your £20, you are obviously very good at this0
