  • you've got no chance, I would be very surprised

Im with Ben500 on this one, to be honest when you see what you can get out of online deliveries when they muck up you will wonder what all the fuss about R&R is. Like ben said it aint R&R but it is actually better.

So your not in a position to say whether or not my suggestion is feasable I would guess, I don't give out advice based on my lack of experience unlike some.

  • When I phoned up HO the conversation went like this:

HO - Tesco customer service, how can I help?
ME - Hi, Ive just purchased a sony psp with the game of the week and the £10 discount hasnt applied to my receipt.
HO - Im sorry to hear that, were getting a lot of these at the moment along with the xbox and ds. We have two members of staff purly dealing with this. Please hold the line and I will transfer you call.

Staff - Hi, my name is XXX, how can I help?
Me - Hi, just purchased a sony psp with tekken from your XXX store and the £10 discount advertised hasnt been applied.
Staff - The xxx store, right. Can you email me a copy of your receipt and I will investigate this and get back to you.
    Me - Certainly
Staff - My email address is XXX@tesco.co.uk - Just email the receipt and I will be in touch
Me - Thank you , I will send that off you you now.

Personally, I couldnt beleive how easy the conversation was. I was also shocked that tesco had two members of staff at HO just dealing with the console deal refunds.

I wasnt asked at any point if I had taken the item back to the store.

I thought it was 3 staff now ?

  • Been reading these Tesco threads for ages now but have never laughed so hard as I have reading this whole console fiasco! :rotfl: well done to everyone who picked up a nice early xmas freebie

There was something I wanted to ask, if you use the self serve checkouts (never done it before) and the discount is applied, can you just cancel the item and put it back on the shelf? to avoid the whole "oops, now what was my pin number again  " situation if you deal with an actual person (all be it, possibly a student with as much personality as the self serve machines anyway :p )

doesn't sound like there is much hope of still being able to find one, and I have never done an R&R before but as I'm going in to the city tomorrow anyway......who wouldn't like a free PSP :o

    Thanks.
