I really was serious..........I read the post to mean that a store could have its own GOTW.....I cant find the post I thought i read....which again I thought said local GOTW............ Ive been on a trip away from my normall patch today and saw a few of the £20 off vodaphone or virgin mobile posters up but I cant remember which stores.

south of oxford stores or maybe bicester but not abingdon

I know, sorry that explanatory bit wasn't aimed at you bassman, it was really for the benefit of any newbies (and BTW I didn't mean any offence to you at all by my post, I can't find the OP either to look at it again - and if I did I might miss about ten new posts here!).

But anyhoo the GOTW is always national (I think).

Well.....Tesco are open.....and I'm sure I saw some offers which expired 26.9 (Plain choc Lindor chocs for example, were on offer at £2.99 - I know because I just bought some by mistake thinking it was an expired SEL. Maybe they will scan higher now and could take them back for an exchange without my receipt...).

I think there were quite a few other SELS with yesterday as the last day, I'm sure someone will point them out in the morning!

Ok guys and gals.

Question from a RRrreeeaaall Thicky here, so be Gentle with me.

I have been reading all about your console/bundle exploits, and I'm determined to get my act together and try for one this week end, but.....

Despite all my avid reading and note-taking I am getting such mixed messages. I know Tescos change their offers regularly, and even occasionally fix gliches, but....
On the 26th Sept One poster says PSP with Tekken does not trigger the discount, then someone posts and says it does get discount....they have made a hurried excuse "I've forgotten my cc", and make a sharp exit !
Someone says its the console that is causing the problem, others that its the wrong GOTW which doesn't trigger the discount.
Does ANY out of date poster/old GOTW NOT get a discount, or is it specific console models/colours I should be looking at

I don't mind doing all the leg work, nor putting the time in, but the longer I spend LOITERING trying to figure out which game with which console I'm sure I'll lose my nerve.

Am I best to wait until Friday and see which is the latest 'golden ticket' combination this week to guarentee an early Xmas present ?
Or should I try and track down this PSP and Trekken a.s.a.p ?

I don't have many store to go round, so I don't want to get a bundle-with-discount, make an excuse, and then come back 2 days later and go thru the whole rigmarole again....I've had smaller R&Rs in ALL my local stores already, so I'm not exactly 'unknown'.
I don't want to risk a ban without even having the consolation of getting the kids their Xmas present.

Any IDIOT geared suggestions/guidelines would be most welcome - such as the white slim one etc, as I'm not the most techologically up-to-date person in the asylum

just been back from my london trip, didn't read this for 2 days, and there is already another 1000 post!! take me so long to gone though this all. But i am having a good laugh here!!!
Kevin Kelly did give my bf a ring back in the afternoon, what he said to my bf is, the 220 pound bundle is not included in the offer, so we can't have refund and retained. and my bf just gave up arguing. So we lost.
But when i get back, i read the following post, I start laughing!

Hi, I'm going to ring HO this afternoon regarding my phone R&R (been refused by email) anyway should I tell them about the emails or not mention them and start a whole new query. What would be best do you think.

Must remember this post is on page 88 or I will never find it by the time I get back.

The only reference to gotw was the blue cardboard gotw display with a white sel underneath it and i believe the particular gotw that the store chose has not been an official gotw :rolleyes:


But it bagged me my second xbox so i don't really mind
