You've got to think of the consequences of your actions!
Read the whole thread I think you will find people have been speculating for over a year on Tesco pulling the policy,Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
Tesco MUST have been ordered to do R&R, I can think of no other reason why they perservere with it when no other store any longer does it.
It is catch 22. Irish goverment has informed them in the past that they wanted 33 million from Tesco to put into public funds as it had overcharged the Irish public by an estimated 33 million. Tesco used the fact it had an R&R policy to argue against it. Not sure where this ended up but I think the R&R olicy saved their bacon.
It has been shown by several watchdogs that Tesco overcharge a shopping trolly between 1% and 10% with the average being 3%. If Tesco was asked to pay back 3% of its NET profits back to the public funds of UK back dated over several years it could cause massive financial losses (obviously)
You must rememeber that what the various watchdogs found was that Tesco was actually making profit from overcharging on a massive scale.
Hands up who has spotted an overcharge on their reciept with out expecting it!0 -
Would this count as an R&R.... Picked up a computer game (one of 4 of the same title) was charged more than SEL but CS said SEL was for different item?
Just to clarify I only bought 1, there were 4 of the games I bought under the SEL0 -

Hi ben,
Yes i've read the whole thread. Although I've only made 4 posts on this forum, I have actually been reading it for a lot longer and have been keeping up to date with this thread.
Hopefully soon i'll be able to start adding bargains to it as I've been too much of a chicken to do anything yet.
Still going to visit tesco's tonight to see if I can see any SEL's that are different to the price stated on the item - Televisions section here I come!Mortgage as Sept 2012: £96,000

Unfortuntely that was barely even a slap-on-the-wrists. :<
Compare:
Trade Marks Act 1994
Video Recordings Act 1984
Selling counterfeit videos, cds, and DVDs
Failing to comply with video labeling requirements
Fine £6300 & Costs £814
Food Safety Act 1990
Food Labelling Regulations 1996
Had on sale food items which had passed their use-by date
Fine £8000 & Costs £1557
Some guy selling copied films gets almost the same punishment as tesco, who could've killed someone.
Coprorations need to start being dealt with properly. ..and thats not going to happen whilst politicians are living in the pockets of 'party benefactors'.ॐ Signature Removed by Someones Mum. ॐ0
