I've been an MSE'er for donkeys years now, but don't know how to end the offer as it was for 24hrs only, lol.

Glad some of you got what you wanted :D

ETA: Ooh, found the expire button, lol, learn something new every day ;)

Thanks, i have emailed anyway because i'd hate to get all the way to Edinburgh for them to demand more money or something :o
Grr, well they've sent me an email back now saying if i make any changes it's a £5 fee.

Do i pay the £5 or just show up with my kids in tow on the day?!

I think you would be fine just turning up with your children, i've booked a family room in different travelodges a couple of times before and forgot to change the number from 1 adult but it's never been a problem.

Why not ring the Inn and tell them?

Failing that, you have £12.50 room...a fiver isn't that bad :D

Thanks amcl, i am annoyed with myself for not reading the T&C's first, i would have checked harder had i known there was a fee.

Good idea Andy i will do that, i am far too tight to pay another fiver, i wanted a 25p room :rotfl:

Actually, they changed the default to one person some time back, I reckon it was to rake in admin fees as most people travel with someone else (moi, cynical?)

However, I've not changed it to 2 on many occasions - generally as you simply can't afford to navigate another page during sales as you risk getting thrown off! Never had a problem yet, if the other bed isn't made I just go to reception and ask for bedding - they don't care.

I've also rung the Inn, just to check the room is family and mention the other person - they generally just change it. Don't forget to search 0870 for the geographical number if you do ring. :D
  • There was no option to change it anyway, I tried.
I wouldn't worry about it anyway, you pay per room not for the number of people, as long as you don't go over the people limit for each room it will be fine.
It's likely that the email you received was automated anyway

That's correct. I've done it myself on several occasions.
It's just that the beds won't be made up and you'll need to ask for extra bedding and pillows etc from reception.
