I always start my stopwatch as soon as I have finished giving the order and then ask how long it will be.

That has got to be the most pathetic thing I have read for a while.
    Well Done!!!

mcdonalds managemnat training programmes are actaully very highly regarded within teh business world. i have sat 3 exams and done a training course to get that diploma and when you mention it in interviews peopel are always visibaly impressed. when i went for my interview at tj hughes for over summer i was hired within a few hours on teh back of that diploma. i am certainly not 'cluless', teh skills i learned have helped me greatly in my own business ive now set up, i can sell just about anything to anyone and keep all my books no probs.

  • I think the number of spelling and grammatical errors in these posts reflect the standard of this debate. It has been determined that there is no such thing as a free meal if you have to wait over a certain length of time so let this thread die the death it so richly deserves. Otherwise feed it a Big Mac and just kill it off :)

Can I ask, are you a manager that works in retail? If not, I don't think that you are qualified to judge.

I worked at Mcdonalds. The guy who had the franchise also had 2 other stores in the same town and I was shipped between the 3 of them on a regular occurance. One of them is next to a big supermarket and there was one lad there who hated working saturdays but always got rostered in.

Like most of the staff at fast food places he had his own way of getting revenge. He used to p*ss in the milkshake mix every saturday. That was his way of making up for the crap wages. After working at one you would never eat the food again!!!

But back to topic. There is no written rule of how long you wait before you can claim it for free as like most places, its at managers discretion. Saying that though, most manager would rather give you a free desert just to keep you calm.

P1ss in the milkshake each Saturday? How exactly did that help his financial situation? Did he get paid extra for doing it on a Saturday?
