Some time ago we were driving home from a weekend away and decided to give the kids a "treat" (huh!) of a Mcdonalds Happy Meal. My wee girl doesn't like all the pickle and sauce etc (though she would NEVER spit it on the floor!!) so we asked for "a plain cheeseburger with nothing on it". Strange child, she eats her fries first, so we were some distance away when she discovered her "plain cheeseburger" was in fact a bun with a piece of processed cheese in it :rotfl:....
We popped in to the next Mcdonalds on the way for a replacement but I also wrote to their Head Office and got £10 in vouchers too!
my ds was disgusted when he asked for a vegetarian burger in Denmark and got home to find it was just a piece of cheese in a bunAnyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

The only thing McDonalds will give you free, is bad health.0

Lots of things are bad in this world. Unfortunately we little people never get what we want and can never change anything. We supposedly live in a democracy, but all we have is democratic elections to vote for people who dictate what happens to education, international policy and the national health service etc, supposedly on our behalf and in our interests. When you vote, your vote is one of hudreds of thousands in your area and, that's all it is, one vote. Elections are won by hudreds of votes, not just one - so your vote effectively will always mean nothing.
If you protest about anything you might get an inch in the newspaper and arrested, but either way, you'll be largely ignored.
If you can't beat it join it.
The only way to lead the way would be to have a business equally as big as McDonalds operating under what the majority of people would see as good ethical principles and show other companies it doesn't eat into profits, and infact serves to increase them Unfortunately everything in the world is all about money.

Oh and for free maccy d's go through the drive through. Order a few things and pay. Drive around to the collection window. Collect your food, look *very* puzzled and say you also ordered (list of items) and they may give you them for nothing.0 -
Its either chavs or people who cant spell their name and/or count to 10 at my local one. Plus i can visit the world every time with the amount of foreigners there which also explains why im still waiting until they get 1 order of mine right within a year.
And before some of you cry racism, Its a fact.4 years of entering competitions daily and not a thing won. What a fix.0 -

I think the number of spelling and grammatical errors in these posts reflect the standard of this debate. It has been determined that there is no such thing as a free meal if you have to wait over a certain length of time so let this thread die the death it so richly deserves. Otherwise feed it a Big Mac and just kill it off
Personally I am just gobsmacked that people with such a poor standard of education are granted degrees. When I was at University it was only for the top students with a certain level of intelligence who could certainly write a reasonable standard of English. In those times I doubt these people would pass degrees. Just goes to show they are not worth the paper that they are printed on. And then of course these candidates are promoted to management.IMO one does not have the life experience and other qualities to be a manager before one hits 30. Nowadays it is common for retal managers to be in their very early 20s.My Mother once worked a few years back for a manager of 22 who had no idea how to deal with customers.:rolleyes:What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0
